I could feel and see the mid life decline happening-exhausted all the time, steadily putting in pounds. I decided to try CFE to really focus on strength and muscle building and avoid the rapid physical decline I saw my mom go through later in life. Thankfully Social media is helping shed light on the importance of building and maintaining muscle later in life to avoid injury, diabetes and osteoporosis and I can say that I am achieving that at CFE. In a few months I was doing dynamic movements & lifting I had no idea I was capable of thanks to the dialed in and personal coaching here. This is not a place that will let you join, collect your monthly fee and 'fall through the cracks.' The owners and coaches do this to really truly impact their members' lives. The community of members is the best I've come across and include All ages and levels of fitness. I look forward to every workout for the physical and mental benefits as well as the social interaction And great music! I also have 2 teens that are members here and they are getting stronger and faster with every workout! If you feel like you're too old, too out of shape, too tired, too shy to do CrossFit, those are exactly the reasons to get started. Give it a few months of consistency here with the team at CFE and you'll feel like a different-STRONGER person than ever before.

I love Leslie's 60 min class on Sunday at noon ("VIOLENCE!!") and the Wednesday evening Box+Flow (i do not do enough stretching, so im grateful yoga is on offer). With the 4-pack, I have to choose one or the other each week, but I'd like to go to both. Sometimes I have to miss a class I reserved, and usually I just eat the credit. The staff are nice. It's a great workout. If you are thinking of picking it up, I think you can't really go wrong with any of the offerings here!

True definition of hurts SO good!…read more I've always been an avid fan of this sport but never imagined taking any classes. I was introduced to this place from a friend two years ago and have been coming ever since. When I first came, I was able to use a 7-day pass and take a few classes. I was nervous because I hate not being good at anything (especially when it comes to sports) but also because I didn't know what to expect. The first class I ever took was Mimi's class at 10am. I was able to meet with her before class to go over the basics. It made me feel comfortable, especially since I didn't know what I was doing! For that class, It's an hourlong and consists of a warm up, 8-rounds three minutes each of boxing combos, and then 14 minutes of abs and core. While she has since left, Dominic has taken over and I believe still keeps the same format. Over the last two years, I've tried out several classes and instructors, but have grown to love the 45 min class on Saturday's taught by Drea. She's engaging with the class, thorough with her instructions, has challenging workouts and the BEST music! She wasn't here yesterday and the class was taught by Jaffet instead. One thing I appreciate about this place, aside from the bomb music they play, is the consistency. No matter who's teaching, I'll always get in a good workout, learn new combos/ moves I'm unfamiliar with and leave feeling like I just conquered the world! Yesterday was no different and I was really happy with the class overall. If you're looking for a change in your workouts, a rush of endorphins, and feeling accomplished, look no further than SLBC! They have classes every day of the week and have something for everyone no matter what skill level. If you're not quite ready to commit to a membership, you can always pay per class as well! Did I mention it's black-owned? Keep up the amazing work, Heath and Diontre!

To get your money back, you have to check-in on social media every time you're there, let them use your before and after pictures, post a review on here (FYI - Businesses should not be asking for reviews. It's against Yelp's conflict of interest policy), and lose 25 lbs. Losing 25 lbs is not the same for everyone as far as percentage of body weight. You have to go 3x a week for an hour. It's a one-size-fits-all mentality. I'm looking for something more personalized. It's not just about losing weight, it's about losing inches, gaining muscle and confidence, etc. Jeremy is a no nonsense and direct motivator if that's what you're looking for. I'm not willing to risk the money for something I'm not sure will motivate me. Kickboxing is 2 nights a week. It's a group setting. It seemed very disorganized while I was there, both the class and the space. Very small and crowded space, very claustrophobic. Didn't feel very clean. Mismatch of equipment. Jackets and bags all over the place. Parking is a nightmare. I tried to ask questions, which weren't answered directly, was made to feel my questions were just excuses. Was not impressed with space, staff, or sales pitch.

BUTTT, like always, you still don't read or understand anything especially since you're still on the same rant of him not coming in because you think he "pussed out" and you think the male should be in charge (according to the phone call a month ago) so no surprise with your comment and how you don't listen. And thanks, found a better place at Studio Element. Anyone who is looking for someone should GO to STUDIO ELEMENT. It's worth the money to be treated better and get results that will last than treated like crap by some rude "trainer" who has an extremely unhealthy way of making people lose weight. So glad you took our hard earned money for free and you showed us your true colors. If anything came from you stealing our hard earned money it that we got out of your bad business. Also, your contract is still not valid as your address in it isn't even where you work out of (I got the return envelope). Thanks, jack-a...Jeremy! Where do I even start. This place deserves zero stars because of Jeremy. Jeremy will talk down to you, talk over you, does not compromise or get the picture. He does not care for his clients and wants it his way or the highway. He will rip you off. BE CAREFUL. I have his contract posted below. Wednesday, my boyfriend and I decided to go into here for a free consultation. He sat down with us (more like my boyfriend, not us because he would hardly talk to me...big macho man ), got right to the point about how his 6 week training program is and blah blah blah. He said it was $499 a person but if we both come in together it's $399 BUT we have to put 1/3 of the money down today. So my boyfriend said sure he'll put his part down and I'll talk to my parents to see if they'll help me out. My parents said they would help out, but not right away, and so my boyfriend had $236 on him and he went ahead and gave him the money and signed his own contract (I never signed one) which doesn't say a start date. Jeremy said if I decide I don't want to come in and do it, then that money would just be for my boyfriend (1/3 of $499 isn't $236 btw, Jeremy). So we left planning on coming in Monday, June 18th. This weekend I had an incident where I fell on my right elbow (swore I broke it) and went to urgent care the next day and thankfully found out it was severely sprained. I talked to my boyfriend and asked if he'd wait until the following Monday so we could do it together, because we wanted to do this together. We live together, it makes sense to only do it together. I did not want to waste my first week of Jeremy's 6 week program with a hurt arm, only being able to do exercises with every other body part. So this morning (Monday, June 18th) we texted Jeremy telling him the situation and asking if he'd let us start Monday. He basically says a sprained elbow is nothing then calls my boyfriend only to try to force him into coming in and asking him who is in charge me or him (my boyfriend)? My boyfriend kept explaining can we just come in as a couple next Monday or no? And he said we can but my boyfriend would not get his 6 weeks but I would (LOLWHAT) then goes on to say this doesn't excuse my boyfriend, he can still come in today regardless of me (which is true) but my boyfriend kept telling him how he wants to do this with me as a couple, again, TOGETHER. Obviously, Jeremy did not get the picture and only cared about money because here we are, out $236 and in a very uncomfortable situation where my boyfriend and I don't ever want to go back to this guy again because why would I want to workout with a guy who only cares about himself and his money. In all honesty, if I was rich, I'd pay you the money not to go to him. Screenshots of his texts follow

First off, Professor Kyle is great. He was very friendly and welcoming. He introduced me around to a lot of the guys and game me a tour of the gym. You can see what type of vibe a gym has by seeing how the students relate to him during class. Here, you can tell they respect Kyle Watson, but are also friendly with Kyle and there's plenty of friendly banter. Kyle is very attentive throughout the entire class and the class is put together with a lot of thoughtfulness. Kyle is attentive the entire time and super helpful in giving instruction and tips. 2. The vibe of the gym is great. Here, you'll find competitor and hobbyists. Everyone was very kind and skilled. No one is off to take off your head and you can tell there are some skilled people on the matts that can turn it on (if they wanted). Great number of training partners. I can see guys getting good here pretty quickly. And if I lived around here, this would be the gym I would pick. Chill vibe but people here work hard. 3. Facilities. This place is HUGE. Upstairs and downstairs mat space. Mens and women's lockers. Showers. Plenty of space to put your gym bag. The place is CLEAN throughout. 4. Schedule. An underestimated aspect of someone choosing a gym is the schedule. Bottom line, if there aren't a lot of options, you're more likely to stop training. Here, there are a ton of options for advance, beginning, go and no gi. Bottom line, give this place a shot. You will not be disappointed.
