I found this company because one of my coworkers used this company 2 months ago to move her clothes; not furniture. I figured I would give them a try based on their reviews. I spoke with the owner, told her what I needed, got the estimate, booked.
The night before I asked the form of payments they accepted and was shocked to note they only accepted Zelle and Cash. Very limited in 2022, but I made it work.
They were on time; husband, wife, and special guest: their toddler. Things outside of that were going great until the end of the move. Everything was delivered, or so I thought. I paid plus tipped. The movers left.
I paid a fee to have my bed dissassembled and reassembled at the drop off. My bed was not only put together improperly, it was missing screws and anchoring legs. Had I not checked the bed by removing the mattress and boxspring later that night after noticing it was wobbly, I would have broken the frame of my bed and possibly been injured. I also noticed the glass tops to both of my nightstands were left on the truck; undelivered. My wooden tv stand was damaged on the sides from sliding it on and off the truck.
When reached out to the owner/operator after several attempts she responded that she made the mistake of not checking the back of the truck and would deliver them the same day after her deliveries were completed (12/20/2022); however, she was "busy." As day changed into night, she eventually stopped responding to my text for an ETA and told me I was "harassing" her and to "stop texting her....Goodbye!!" She then blocked me. It has been 2 days later and I have received no correspondance and I have not received the rest of my delivery from this company. I have gone to the police and the owners have been contacted by the Lee County Sheriff, et al...... I still have not heard anything from the owner/operator.
I feel robbed, disrespected, violated, and cheated. I let these people into my home. I trusted and paid these people. All I want is the rest of my delivery of which was their mistake to not deliver. This company acts with no integrity or respect for its customers. This mentality makes it hard for people to want to support small businesses due to the unprofessionalism and rudeness displayed to paying customers. I do not recommend Knowledge Moving Company to anyone. Your items may or may not make it to the destination and will be damaged. read more
