The Knott County Sportsplex is an incredible sports venue that is open to the entire public. It has five basketball courts, an arcade room, exercise equipment, bowling alley, track area, and a party/meeting room for gatherings. Also there are plenty of more acres outside such as baseball fields and even a miniature golf course. When I came here I was very impressed by the architecture of the facility. It looks a lot smaller outside but once you walk in there I guarantee you will be amazed. I had the great pleasure of meeting the head of management and economic development here at the Sportsplex on a warm afternoon with my college internship group. He is a man of great character and gave us a tour of the facility. I was able to learn more about it is the span of just a half hour. The Sportsplex offers a very affordable price and people can use the facility at only $5.00 for the whole day. Talk about an awesome deal here. Overall, the Knott County Sportsplex is a remarkable facility for family fun, working out, and visiting if you are ever in the Leburn area in Kentucky. I cannot wait till I am able to go again and take advantage of everything the place has to offer. Five star quality at its finest. read more

We arrived in Knott County to visit this amazing recreational facility called Sportsplex. This place was huge! As I stepped into the building along with fifteen other college students and staff, I was amazed at what I saw. There were five basketball courts, an arcade, a cordial front desk attendant, and a fitness center located upstairs. I was in awe at the multiple activities that were at my grasp. I was specifically amazed that Sportsplex was located on a mountain top removal site. This site is important in regards to the Appalachian youth because it provides employment opportunities for them, fitness activities for them to do in their spare time, and a rich Appalachian location for them to explore. In light of this, I recommend that this recreational center be visited by people of all ages and demographics because it encompasses so many physical activities that can produce bonding amongst friends and family. read more

This Sportplex has a variety of offerings from educational, special events, elk expositions, basketball, volleyball, tumbling, bowling, arcade, concessions, a fitness center and much more...it was wonderful walking around and seeing people invested in health training. More so, i met with the coordinator of the senior women's center (Anita) and she expressed to me just how beneficial her program has been to women. I was also able to talk to two other senior women after their workout and they were very exited and satisfied by this experience. this center is only five miles away from the nearest town and i think that it is a major asset to the people of Knott. And more specifically to the people who have health goals that they desire to accomplish. More exiting is the fact that if a family would visit this complex, they would all have something exiting to do. read more

This is a great resource for the local area, though it doesn't seem to get much use during the summer. There are four basketball courts inside, two outside, baseball fields, a great (and appears free) gym area, a gymnastics room, and a dance studio available for all locals. There is also an indoor walking track. They offer classes from Silver Sneakers for the elderly to Zumba and children's classes. For those who may be waiting to use a court or may not be as willing to engage in sports activities, there is also an arcade in the center of the building. When I arrived they appeared to be taking apart a bowling alley that had not been getting much use. A shame really, that such an amazing sportsplex is not being used to its full potential. I hope in the future to see a big change. read more

Six basket ball courts, baseball fields, weights, cardio, a dance studio, gymnastics, an arcade, and more to come! That's what you can expect from this place! The staff here were very friendly and helpful, and the Sportsplex was amazing. As I've already mentioned, they have a large variety of activities to choose from, and plenty of space to do it all. There are multiple floors and elevator access for those who may have trouble with stairs but would still like to have an active life. The Sportsplex is friendly to those of any age and has many programs that one can join once there. It was really a great experience and a wonderful asset to those who live in the area. read more

I was incredibly impressed by this facility! It has 5 basketball courts, 3 baseball fields, an arcade, a fitness center, a conference room (used for meetings and birthday parties), an 8-lane bowling rink, miniature golf, and a walking track (6 laps to make a mile). Pretty impressive for such a rural area. Prices to use the facilities are very reasonable. A great place to visit in the summer or winter! The manager and workers we ran into were really helpful - we were even given a tour! Definitely a huge asset to the county and a must on any visit. It's also right off the highway! read more

I was blown away with this place! This facility is a multipurpose place to work out, have fun in the arcade, play basketball, or miniature golf. Knot County has many assets and the sport complex is one of them. This place is a great way for the family to bond by exercising d playing a sport. Unfortunately, it is really hard to see from the highway because it is so far back and all you see is just a grassy field from where they use to mine. We had to drive half of mile when turning in the area to find it. read more

I was completely amazed by the size of the sportsplex. They have have five indoor basketball stadium, huge cardio and weight rooms, a dance studio, gymnastics room, a track in the inside. They also have baseball stadium in the exterior. They also have free Wi-Fi. The place caters for everyone starting from young children to elder citizens. The Sportsplex is a great resource for local people providing an opportunity for locals to live a healthier life. read more

This was a nice place for people who want to come and play some basketball or come and workout. It was also evident that this was the place that people came to in order to watch their family members play their school sports at. It was a nice facility and it had a lot of fields and courts for plenty of games to happen all at the same time. read more

After learning the history of how this center came about, I was excited to see that this community cares about their residents. This hidden asset is significant to the health of the community as it is a center that provides affordable resources to become or maintain good health, especially for the youth.
