Thank God, I didn't fall for it but if I had, I would have taken them to the court for a huge lawsuit against them. They should stop taking advantage of poor independent artists out there. I have more details for anyone who is interested in getting more information that shows how illegitimate and unprofessional this company is, despite how professional they seem in the beginning. I was given a week turn around for my material. I paid him in full upfront directly after our session at Solid Studio. Weeks went by and still NO material for the service I paid him for. I followed up via text message directly and social media inbox. He continues to be very unprofessional telling me about his home life and why I still have not been sent the final service I paid for. Yet he wants to go back and fourth chatting with me over text a instead of just finishing the job and emailing it per my request. Excuse after excuse. It's been almost 30 days since I visited this studio and worked with him. STILL NOTHING RECEIVED to date. Most definitely a scammer and I will be taking this further. Such a poor representation for the studio brand in itself. The most UNSOLID business I've done this far in Atlanta. I would like to talk to the owner regarding this matter as well. This was my first time visiting the studio and on the outside, it doesn't look as huge as it actually is inside space. There are numerous rooms and sections for recording. I mostly stayed in the large area in the back meant for hosting large parties and gatherings. There was a large stage, a large movie size screen with projector option, and also room for a bar in the back corner. They also have a private parking lot with plenty of space for parking. Don't waste your time, as I did on 6 separate occasions. EDIT 03/09/17: On the day I wrote my original review, I finally received a call (interesting!). Details of my session were finalized, and I came in the same week. The recording engineer was very quick, and we were able to record/comp a whole piano track in 2 hours. The piano is great; as far as I know, this is the only studio in Atlanta that has a mini grand. Because of great service, I revised my review from 1 star to 4. It still took WAY to long to book my session (nearly a month) but once it was booked, things went smoothly.

I will be also starting an actors class there next month as I'm leaving my current studio. Depending on what type of script you have for an audition, sometimes you may not be able to shoot it at home yourself. The audition shoots are $15 for 10 mins, or $25 for 20 minutes, and $50 for 40 minutes. That's something I've never seen happen before as far as an audition being 40 minutes. There's an acting instructor there by the name of Angela Davis who is very GREAT and REALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE as it pertains to acting. She's going to be my new instructor. For any of you who are looking for a place to shoot an audition or maybe attend acting class, check this place out. They also offer Zoom classes for those of you who don't feel comfortable due to the pandemic that's fading away. Next time I go, I'll be able to pick up a few pics.

I love being able to schedule an audition being able to schedule an audition whether it be in advance or last minute and they're always available 6 days a week even at night. It is cost-effective offering a monthly rate to tape instead of for each audition. Other taping services I've tried had limited days/time or they weren't open late. Not at Higher elevation! They really care about actors and want to see us succeed. When I tape at home it takes me forever to record it, edit, label m and upload it. I've made several mistakes. But being at Higher elevation alleviates all that. They're always prompt, always label my tapes correctly and I've never encountered a mistake. Another thing that I love is Steven's attitude and his employees is always positive and uplifting. I've gone to taping services where they were having a bad day or rushing me and we know as actors we need to be in a comfortable supportive environment. I'm grateful to be part of their monthly membership and I highly recommend it because you won't regret it.
