A lot of trainings are usually dry and boring, but definitely not this one. I love how as Dr. Haynes conducted the trainings, her passion for helping children with literacy is highly palpable and contagious. She makes you feel inspired to get back into the classroom and change these children's lives and futures for the best. I highly recommend that educators attend her trainings--you will not regret it. In closing: thank you Dr.Haynes--you truly made a difference and brought back my passion to be a teacher.

In the 1st grade, our son was having difficulty. The teacher thought he was possibly dyslexic. She…read morehad the Dyslexic specialist in the public school look at his work. His grades were too high for him to qualify to be tested for services. We decided to have him privately tested April 2012. We had heard excellent things about Effie and the staff at Thinkers. My mom used to work with a Speech Pathologist and she administered testing to children. The testing process was very familiar to her. We were all blown away by how extensive the testing was with Thinkers and how accurate the results were. In one hour, Effie determined that our son was 1 1/2 years ahead in his visual learning and 1 1/2 years behind in his auditory learning. That explained the gap the teachers were seeing at school in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade with Z's ability to memorize the spelling list but not be able to sound words out. We knew this gap would continue to grow if we did not do something about it. Z began tutoring at Thinkers in June 2012 and continued off and on until March 2014. He completed Interactive Metronome, several lessons in PACE and the first 2 books in Master the Code. We immediately saw results. Not only was his confidence lifted but his reading, reading comprehension and spelling all improved. He is now making all A's in the 4th grade and reading well on his own. Z worked very hard and we have Effie, Debbie and the staff at Thinkers to thank for this success story! We are forever grateful for the time they spent with our son.
