We are a group of 10 ladies that traveled to Italy, May 19th to June 3rd 2017, for a once in a life…read moretime, bucket list trip. Paola Shaw at Vision Travel was instrumental in researching, organizing, recommending and scheduling our trip, a task that took over a year to complete. It was a full itinerary that included planes, trains and automobiles to multiple locations, from Rome to Sicily, Siena to Florence and everything in between. Our trip included treks on the Via Francigena, wine tours in Chianti, tours of several towns and attractions and a villa rental for the back end of the trip. We were treated like Queens and everything was flawless. Paola, you just picked up 10 new clients for life. Can't thank you enough for making this trip so special to all of us. Grazie mille a thousand times over. Sandy and the Pilgrims

Sorry Guys....not good. Information that was provided was not even close to being right. Not 15…read moreminutes from Airport-but 45 minutes. Exchange rate on the money was totally wrong. The Cuban government will not take Canadian Toonies and Loonies. And it is .75 cent on the peso's- not equal- like we were told by you and banks in Canada. The resort was clean but information was very hard to come by as no one understood a word of English-Thank God for Siri!!! Food was the same thing everyday...hotdogs for breakfast and French fries???? Food was never hot or never cold -ever had a ice-cream cone with runny ice cream?? Then husband gets food poisoning from Shrimp that was not cooked properly. Sick and stuck in room for 2 days. Yes it took us 4 yrs to save for this. I will give thumbs up for the chambermaids-excellent. Elevator was out for the full week we were there. We are on the fifth floor. You think when you work in this field you have employee's that know a little bit of languages-like milk-coffee-ice. I will not go back again and pity someone who goes to this resort. Even washrooms were very scares. By the looks of things my husband was not the only person with food poisoning. Washrooms were never cleaned up. BAD...real bad....

Among the most interesting non-profit sites I've visited in Brampton…read more Community Door Brampton is certainly an interesting place, which presented an experience I hadn't expected. It may not look like it at first glance, but this building hosts at least ten offices for various non-profit groups that operate out of Peel, including Volunteer MBC (Mississauga/Brampton/Caledon), the Peel HIV/AIDS Network, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, a United Way Greater Toronto branch office and other agencies. They're also spread out through the building, so you have to walk to the back to access some of them. I say that the visit was a unique experience because, whether due to my existing volunteer/community work or my role as a writer and editor, a number of people in there knew me by a first-name basis, despite the fact that I'd never visited the site before and didn't know half the people who greeted me. The level of service presented to me on that day was very unusual to me. On this day, I was visiting a reception that was jointly held with a number of agencies. Though small, they had quite the impressive spread of food and a number of silent auction items that had been donated by agencies and businesses throughout the GTA and beyond. I wound up sticking around for the presentations, which were given to recognize outstanding volunteers who had made a difference in the lives of the less-fortunate throughout the region. I also enjoyed some stimulating conversation with a good friend of mine, who asked me whether my prominence in the community was due to my job or my personal brand as a community advocate. Definite food for thought. Community Door is certainly worth a look, as it offers a number of services including employment help and resource connections. (Fun fact: If you visit the Volunteer MBC office, keep a look out for the Charter of Volunteerism and look in the lower-left corner - my signature is there!) Well-recommended and a great community destination.
