The beds and pillows were perfect for a good nights rest after a long drive. They have a free continental breakfast which we enjoyed before getting on the road the next morning.

Both decorative cushions on the bed are stained, the carpet is stained, and the bathtub does not drain properly. I was simply trying to rinse it before getting in, and the water would not drain. Overall, the cleaning feels superficial, especially for the price of the room. The dining hours also made the stay less enjoyable. The hotel restaurant closed at 3 p.m. on Sunday, and the brewery closed at 7 p.m. With limited Sunday evening dining options nearby, finding dinner became a frustration. The place we ended up eating was disappointing as well. For what this hotel charges, we expected a clean, well-maintained room and a welcoming experience. Another reviewer mentioned staying at a Best Western instead, and after this experience, I understand the comparison. It's sad because I wanted this to become a place we could keep coming back to. Pam and Scott are excellent hosts and will make your stay enjoyable. The Inn is a historic building and as such has a lot of charm, the grounds are well kept with the back of the property bordering the Paluxy river. Also at the back of the property overlooking the Paluxy is Snyder's Tavern where lunch, dinner and drinks are served. In the morning you'll get to enjoy breakfast in the dining room which is included in the cost of your stay. One thing to note is that the rooms do not feature TV's which was not a big deal to us. A comfortable bed and private bathroom should be mentioned. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

I have stayed in many of the Weatherford hotels in the past year, and this is one of the better…read moreones. The key is to mange your expectations. My five Star rating is therefore based on a "Weatherford curve." Weatherford isn't exactly a tourist Mecca, so don't expect the Ritz Carlton. That being said, even though this property is older, it is well-run and will meet your needs. I am finishing up a four night stay and have no complaints. The place is kept clean, and the staff was friendly and professional from start to finish. Some older reviews complained about firm beds, but this no longer the case. The beds were comfy and had soft mattress toppers. I also saw older reviews complaining about swim lessons limiting access to the pool. The indoor pool was nice and it has a hot tub... my kids had unlimited access to both all through our stay, which included a weekend. We had to bring our dog during our stay, and she was welcomed. We only had to pay an extra 20 bucks a night as a pet fee. Also note that you aren't allowed to leave your dog unattended in your room. The breakfast is better than average, and features those iconic Texas-shaped waffles that used to be mandatory state wide. All in all, I would recommend this Best Western!
