I am writing this review almost 2 years later just do to the busy hustle of life. I went to my…read moreconsultation for my wedding flowers and brought along my now husband and mother in law, the shop was very welcoming but I'm not gonna lie the picking everything out process is very intimidating. There are a ton of options and everything is a bit overwhelming but I feel like it needs to be so you get exactly what you want! We did have a little trouble with their payment system but that was very minor. The day of my wedding all of my flowers arrived beautiful and lasted days and days after! we had a small inconvenience because We were told cake flowers were included with what we purchased but none came but we fixed that with a simple pull some flowers from the arch piece. I was super pleased and got everything and more I could have wanted from my flowers! highly recommend.

Me and my coworkers were sending our boss flowers after her mother's passing. I tried to order…read moreonline and couldn't. I called the shop, spoke to a man, placed the order and provided him my card number. He asked if I wanted delivery for Thursday or Friday. 3 hours later I noticed I still hadn't been charged. I called and requested a receipt or invoice to provide to my coworkers. He told me system was down, he'd send to me the next day. Next day, still nothing (and it was Thursday, delivery day) but I didn't have time to call. So I called Friday this time getting a woman named Judy. Judy was very professional. I told her about the issue with no receipt or anything and asked about delivery. She checked back with the man, called me back and said he was under the impression Friday delivery was okay due to weather. I said oh, I wasn't aware about the weather, it was never mentioned. I said Friday was fine, but if they couldn't deliver Friday to please go ahead and cancel the order and I'll order elsewhere. Friday night at 8pm, still nothing so I assumed they went ahead and cancelled. I ordered elsewhere, who delivered following day, smooth transaction with no issues. An hour after the 2nd company delivered, there was a debit attempt to my card (that I had locked after seeing terrible reviews), so I called immediately. I told Judy I thought the order was cancelled since I was still never charged. She said they delivered the order. I was very frustrated. I asked why they would deliver without payment, doesn't make sense to me. She said they trust their customers. She said she was going to call "him" and call me back. She called back saying she was told either we can go pick up the flowers (from my boss who just lost her mother and is grieving), or I can pay for them. She said she was just the messenger a few times and I felt terrible for her. You could tell she did NOT agree with this. I told her under no circumstances to go back to my boss's house, and asked if the man could call me. The man named Trent called me restricted a few mins later saying he was calling at my request. I told him the issues, never getting debited, receipt, and the issue with delivery date, and I advised just to cancel if they couldn't deliver Friday. I was very polite during all of this, but definitely frustrated. He proceeded to tell me he's "not God and can't control the weather", I was shocked at this response. I told him not only is he not God, but he's not very godly person and has sketchy business practices. Wanting to go pick up flowers, from my boss, after their mistake. At this point I was so aggravated I told him to resubmit payment, he clearly needs it more than me. He did. Considering I was never given a total or receipt I received a charge for $26.57 more than the website showed, excluding taxes. All in all, terrible learning experience and I will never not check reviews again.

Honoring my mother…read more At 6:00 am this Saturday morning, I learned that my mother had passed away. My siblings and I had gathered from around the country fearing this outcome. After a few hours processing the news, I composed myself and decided to set up a makeshift memorial to her at my brother's house. I knew Kroger flowers wouldn't do. I wanted to honor my mom with a dazzling display of various and vibrant colors. Halls Flower Shop was the closest florist to me. I called to ask if they had loose flowers so I could select them for my own arrangement. The cheerful young woman on the phone said yes. I arrived around 12:15 pm. I didn't see bins of cut flowers I could peruse, but upon mentioning the need, the same young woman kindly escorted me to the back to see the selection. With her help, I selected what seemed like 3 of everything. She was so kind and helpful through the entire process; if I'd pointed to an unhealthy flower, she'd pick a better one. When one of the carnations (my mom's favorite) snapped as she was transferring it to a bucket, she gave it to me. I was touched by this simple gesture. Along the way, she would kindly caution me as she saw the total price rising. She'd tell me the cost of each individual flower as the cost mounted. Given that this was a once-in-my-lifetime need, I told her to keep going. That was very kind of her, though, to look out for my wallet. By this point it was around 12:45, the store closed at 1 pm, and I'd picked an extraordinary number of flowers of all colors and redolence. Not wanting to keep her past quitting time, I asked if she could just basically trim them and put them in 2 vases I'd chosen. I didn't need them perfectly arranged. She agreed. While I waited, another young woman who had helped and conveyed the same empathy and warmth as the first, noticed me crying. The news was so fresh. She brought me a box of Kleenex and a water. She also made a boutonniere out of the broken carnation and helped me pin it on my t-shirt. I wore that all day long and have kept it as a memento. When the 2 vases of offsetting heights came out, I got emotional not just at the beauty of the flowers but at the skill and care taken in arranging them. Far from being 'just putting them in a vase,' she had brought me 2 works of art. They were stunning arrangements. A bit emotional, I paid the bill. She put the vases in cardboard boxes and helped me get them in the car. "Support them from the bottom," she helpfully added about the boxes. At home and set on opposite sides of the scruffy memorial I'd made in front of a darkened TV, they complemented the candles and photographs we'd hastily gathered, catching the light of the sun during the day; the flame of the candles at night. They brought much-needed brightness and happiness to the sad occasion. They were absolutely gorgeous and the aromas absolutely intoxicating. It was a feast for the senses and it mattered deeply to my family. (The picture doesn't do them justice, but trust me on their splendor). So a huge thanks to Halls Flower Shop for helping me at a very delicate time to do something special to honor my mother's memory. Your warmth, kindness and assistance will stay with me forever as a positive aspect of an otherwise sad day. And mom, I hope you liked them. Pretty sure from your vantage point, they were even more beautiful than from mine.
