Terrible barbers. They advertise opening hours to 9pm on a Thursday but if you call up at 8pm they say they are taking no more even though there are only 3 people waiting. When asked why it says they open until 9pm they just tell you they are not taking anymore people. They must be making too much money!!! Not friendly at all. I'm sure the owner would not appreciate the staff turning away business. I was told the above by a blonde girl on 31st May just so the manager knows!!! Will not be going here again!!!!!! read more

As she grabs my head and drags it to the left, then to the right, I'm helpless...I obey her every command...when I move wrong, she frowns, pushes harder...I obey quickly, fearing the consequences of disobedience...she reaches next to me and lifts the long black tool, checking to make sure it's fully charged...the sound of buzzing sends shivers down my spine as she says, softly, her voice accented with foreign mysteries..."You like back square, yes? And clean up eyebrows?" Ah...the wonderful Irma at Knights in Dundrum has been the salvation of my very very difficult to manage curly/cowlicky/disobedient (and slowly thinning, dammit) locks since I finally found somebody who actually knows how to CUT hair, not just run a set of clippers around it until I look like a football hooligan. This small shop sports 4 chairs and a multiplicity of nationalities serving their customers. My personal barber, who I will wait through three rounds of other offers of help until she's free if I have to, uses the scissors, the clippers, and the straight razor to keep me in fine trim. All that and a shampoo for 20 quid and plus a generous tip. Now, they aren't the most chatty group with their customers, most being from foreign countries that as a die-hard Californian I find it genetically impossible to remember (Latvia? Lithuania? Louisiana?), and I'm pretty sure she never remembers who I am until I'm in the chair and she looks at me criticly to say despairingly "Ah, yes, you always shave too high on this side, I cannot to make evens", but I've seen them work with everybody from grumpy aul' fellas to squirrely kids, and do a great job all the way around. Bottom Line: If you're not a metrosexual but do appreciate a bit of manscaping to keep the Dumbledore look to a minimum, let them strap a collar around you and go to work... read more

I cannot stress enough how bad this barbers is. I've been 3 times over 13 years and every cut is worse then the last. I've only gone because I've been stuck, but this latest cut is ridiculous. I have long hair and have (had) an undercut at the back of my head, every few months I get it topped up, simple job that any person/monkey who takes their time could do. This barber somehow managed to shave the entire back of my head and doesn't tell me. Then when I go to retie my hair lumps of long hair start falling out. So thank you to that barber for ruining 5 years of hair growth in 5 minutes. I've had to give it a star to leave a review but it deserves a 0/5 read more

This is the least amount of hair I have had since I was 14. The reason: the staff member I encountered here was an incompetent fool who appeared to be in such a rush to violate my hair that he disregarded what my actual request was and proceeded to trim my hair until nothing was left except a tiny fringe (even though I specifically said "DO NOT TOUCH THE FRINGE"). In summary, if you want your hair to be cut with lightning speed and you don't actually care what it looks like then this your place. Next time, I think I will save the €20 and do a better job myself! read more

I've been here three times and while all three times I have been very happy with the cut, my most recent visit was very unpleasant. The lady cutting my hair did a good job but her manner left an awful lot to be desired. During the cut she was holding the razor to my head with her right hand and leaned in with her left hand, grabbed a tissue and blew her nose one handed. I would have much preferred she had stopped in order to blow her nose. She then simply discarded the tissue in the air and let it fall to the ground. Towards the end of my cut a lady came into the shop to enquire if they cut children's hair. She had her toddler in her arms and the woman cutting my hair turned to her and in what I would consider to be an impolite manner, quite abruptly said "No, it's too small"....."it" being the child. A good cut but customer service goes a long way for repeat business and recommendations. I don't believe I'll be back nor will I be recommending it to anyone else. read more

The place is great. Always friendly staff and quick haircuts. I usually don't like chatting while getting my hair cut but this place is actually fun. Will be coming more often. read more

My husband went for a hair cut today in Knights in Dundrum. They consulted as to what kind of hair cut he wanted. He wanted barely a trim off the top as he had(!) long curly hair. The barber showed he understood by showing how little he was going to trim off the top. My husband did not have his glasses on and trusted the barber knew what he was doing. The barber shaved the sides and started to cut the top but it seems he just kept going!! He cut off all his hair and the result is what looks like a tight shaved hair cut. My husband was beyond furious, he just couldn't believe it, he refused to pay and walked out in disgust. The barber looked uncomfortable and said eh sorry - too little too late. My husband is extremely upset he has never had a shaved head in his life. This is beyond an awful service!!!! He's too upset to write a review but if this is the what happens in Knights in Dundrum people need to know about it!! read more

I received a "cut" from one of the Knight Barber's at the Dundrum shop. He was a middle-aged male with short hair. His station was located in the middle of this small shop. After asking him to keep the hair long and the length hanging over the ears, I received a close cropped hair (went from roughly 4-5 inches long to 1/2 inch. He went over the sides of my hair so many times, using both scissors and clippers (what self respecting hair stylist uses clippers as their primary tool?), that I asked him to stop multiple times. His complete disregard and verbal "huffing" at my request to keep my hair longer, not cut it up above my ears, and to stop cutting it shorter on one side, eventually culminated in me asking him to stop. I left the shop, after being charged 20 EUR, without a discount or apology, with a lopsided and poor haircut. I immediately went to the top of the Dundrum shopping mall to the Toni & Guy, where they were able to at least fix the lopsided haircut. NOTE: The Toni & Guy dresser commented that he cut the hair to 1/4 inch on one side and 1 inche on the other. He was "done" with the haircut, and was actually trying to cut the right side more when I asked him to stop. The Toni & Guy dresser said she hadn't seen such a malpracticed cut before. I went here for a haircut and when I got there, the barber asked me to sit down. I don't remember his name but he had dark skin and black hair. He asked what I wanted and I told him. He started cutting and spent about five minutes cutting my hair and when I looked at it, it was ridiculous. The fringe was uneven, and way WAY too short. The shave along the sides was uneven too and along the top there were areas thicker than the other. Also, I got the wash and cut deal. First off, I was almost certain they washed your hair first before cutting it, but perhaps I could be wrong. He washed it after cutting my hair while it was dry. He asked me to sit over on the seat and began washing my hair. He spent a maximum of 30 seconds washing my hair and the soapy water spilt out everywhere. This barber put absolutely no care at all into my haircut. I looked over at the other people getting their hair done and they weren't even halfway done, so why did my haircut only last 7 minutes max? It seems like it was because I am under the age of 16. I came home and tried everything I could to make it look better. I showed it to my friends and they all laughed. This was by FAR the worst experience I've had, and coming into the school term now. Will never step foot into here again, and neither will anyone I know! read more

Got my hair cut here for a change as I was to busy to go to my normal place which was a bit further afield . By the time I had left the barbers I not only had gotten my hair cut, I was now entered into the Guinness book of records for quickest hair cut of all time. When my girlfriend and mother saw my new hair cut they recommended i go somewhere else to get it touched up i.e fixed..which I did....Never again!!....They're not the cheapest price(20 euro), but they certainly offer cheap hair cuts in other ways, cheap on effort and time.......to be avoided at all cost...... read more

Going to knights Dundrum about 5 years staff have changed but standard has not. Would not to anywhere else for my haircut I just love the time taken to do a great job and make me look prettier than I really am so that in itself highlight how great you guys are.Thank you read more
