After being recruited to work at Coast Radio by DJ/assailant & SEPRD employee Chris Duffy, i was pinned down by him in a violent pin-down hold after declining his sexual harassment and gropes of my breast.
Chris Duffy admitted to Adult Protection initiating "wrestling" and "tussling" of me despite my lack of consent and the nonconsensual sexual aspect of his rubbing his genitals on me and groping my breasts repeatedly without consent and despite my reprimand as i panicked and when he attacked i feared he would kill me or infect me with his herpes if he raped.
The offer to me to work at the COAST RADIO station was used to lure me to be aggressively sexually harassed and propositioned.
After i declined his advances, and Chris Duffy assaulted me in retaliation, i was also denied the opportunity to work on the show, with my best friend who was also being abused by this man.
Re: The assault:
my arms were bruised, my ribs crushed, my breasts groped repeatedly, my legs pinned so i could not kick him in the balls to stop the assault by chris duffy after he asked me to work for Coast Radio. after this major assault event, he asked me to volunteer for Seaside's Bob Chisholm meals on wheels, and demanded i not tell his co-workers what he had done. my first attempt to whistleblow this to a female SEPRD employee October 2017 was slapped down with a "oh he would never do that."
By February 2018 i resumed whistleblowing to find someone at SEPRD who would believe me and not blame me. The assailant Chris Duffy himself discussed his assault with me several times but declined to put in writing why he pressed me down with his sex organ pressed on me against my will, why he repeatedly groped my breasts against my objections. if in his mind he intended rape, he would have the mens rea of rape, a necessary factor for an attempted rape charge. i am so glad i was able to break free.
i believe this behavior to be contrary to the mission of Coast Radio, and am willing at any time to speak on air about this type of harassment, or speak to media, etc, fundraising, or patrons who wish to condition their support of Coast Radio on the elimination of violence against women as a condition of volunteering. read more
