Make sure you read to the end... your jaw will drop and you'd never want to do business with them!…read more A salesman from Reece Builders came door-to-door through my neighborhood at the time we were contemplating getting a new living room picture window. We took his info and said they could set up an appointment. In the meantime, we checked reviews and the BBB and felt it was a pretty good company. We did order a set of windows, and it was 'supposed' to take 4-6 weeks to come in. A little over two months later, it came in, but it took them another week-and-a-half to get around to installing it. So, more than twice as long as we were told. We told them we wanted to keep the old windows for a project. The foreman had a nasty attitude, saying it was his last day with them, it's a horrible company, just really bashed them, and told the guys to just "slap the window in and let's get outta here." They also took the storm window to my picture window that I was going to use and have made no move to return it to me or replace it. The screens had damage and were bent from a strap that was holding them together. The casing had dents and was bent in several places. The outer trim piece looked like it had been bent and pulled back straight, and was bulging noticeably at the bottom. Glue/caulk was oozing out in several places. It looked horrible, not like a window I paid $2500 for. It took three months of phone calls to get them to come back out, and the only reason they came back out was because they wanted to collect on the "balance due"... but, even after they came back out, it took about two months to get the issue resolved. Oh! And the icing on the cake!! My security cameras caught one of their installers peeing in my yard at 11:18am. I looked at the front camera and heard another guy laughing, saying, "Man, you've got to go again?" So I checked the History, and he had already peed in my yard at 11:05am! What they frick? I live in a nice subdivision of brick houses, not out in the sticks where that might be okay. My husband had water pipes and lumber where the guy releived himself, there's no way we can use those pipes now. When I called Reece Builders, I was told that some of the guys are a little rough around the edges. What?? So, that makes it okay? It's absolutely disgusting!!!

The construction of Zen windows had a superior quality than the other windows we interviewed. Installation by Marcos and his crew was efficient and professional. Window installation was quick, while making a difficult job look easy. While selecting for a window company can be daunting, we searched through the internet for window ratings and found Provia Endure Windows to be highly rated. Lifetime warranty for the windows and installation also were deciding factors for us. Curb appeal, value, comfort plus improving energy-efficiency and security added value to our house. 38 windows replaced by Zen Windows.

I'm a first-time homebuyer and purchased my house in March 2021. While the house was in great…read morecondition and had recently been renovated, it still had the original wooden windows that were installed when the house was built in the 1950's. While I appreciated their history, classic look and the fact that they were still in good shape, it was clear they needed to be updated. I contacted several window companies around town, both local and national establishments. After being put off by some of the high pressure, in person sales tactics other places had, I found the approach that Brian and his team at Zen Windows very refreshing. I also saw that they were voted Best in Charlotte by Charlotte Magazine in 2020, and I wanted to support a local business if I could. Brian was very generous with his time, and it only took a few phone calls with him and a quick visit from his installer to get measurements for them to have all the information they needed. I was impressed with how simple and straightforward the process was. Another huge selling point was that I wouldn't have to pay anything until the job was complete, a big difference from other companies. The turnaround took about three months for the windows to be built, but I would chalk that up to COVID, supply chain issues and increased demand for home projects because of the pandemic rather than anything on Zen's end. Quoted turnaround times at other businesses were similar. Once the windows were ready, Zen sent a simple three man crew to my home to perform the installation. Each gentleman on the crew probably had 30-40 years of window installation themselves, so as a team they were pretty capable. In just two quick morning sessions, my windows were complete! I'm extremely happy with the end result. The windows are fantastic, incredibly easy to use, they look great (black exterior FTW), and I can already tell they perform much better than the old ones. Brian and his team did an outstanding job, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their windows!

When they arrived they went direct to work and did not stop until our windows had been installed and cleaned. It was amazing how they worked together and even apart. The installers, Fillype Veiga and Joe, were very polite, courteous and professional. Both my wife and I were very happy when the installation was completed. We could not believe how beautiful the newly installed windows changed the appearance of our home. The workmanship of the two installers is outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone. Before they left Fillype went over how the windows worked, how they open and close, then cleaned them all. They cleaned up everything and left nothing behind except our new windows. Thank you Window World Carolinas for a fantastic job from the day of the arrival of your sales representative until installation. In the future should anyone ask about our windows you will be highly recommended. We love our new windows. Thank you!

I was pleasantly surprised by the low-pressure sales approach, which differed from other reviews…read moreI'd seen. The pre-installation process was straightforward and very helpful, giving me a clear understanding of what to expect. Unfortunately, installation day brought several complications. A team of three began installing 16 windows, but just 15 minutes in, one technician badly twisted an ankle and had to leave. The remaining two proceeded to remove all windows on a scorching 90+ degree day before starting replacements, turning my home into an uncomfortably hot and humid environment. While they finished the installation that day, it was an incredibly long shift, from just before 10 AM until 9 PM, requiring my continuous supervision. I noted that a drop cloth was only used for the very first window, which helped with the mess initially but wasn't continued. Another issue was the window color. I had specified a tan/wicker exterior with a white interior, but received entirely white windows. To avoid a 6-8 week delay and a $350 rescheduling fee, I accepted them. They do look good, and the white exterior matches my previous windows, so I'm not overly concerned about this. My primary outstanding concern is a gutter downspout that was removed during installation and never reinstalled. Despite multiple calls (three to the install team, two to the service team), I haven't received any communication or action to rectify this. This lack of follow-up so soon after installation makes me question the reliability of their warranty service.

The initial estimate was 12-14 weeks due to "Covid" but it only took 8 weeks. The installers showed up earlier than the scheduled appointment, no issues as I was working from home that day, and got right to work removing my old windows and installing the new ones. The prices were a bit higher than I had anticipated, but the quality of the windows is superior compared to the original windows. Plus the warranty is great. Now only 20 more windows to go. Their team even cut into our drywall and left nail holes in our door frame--so the process was clearly underway.Then... nothing. No communication whatsoever. We were told installation would take 6-8 weeks. At the 6-week mark, we had to call for an update--only to be told by Nick, with zero accountability or concern, that the job had been "undersold." Our options? Either pay double the agreed-upon signed price or cancel altogether. To make matters worse, we were told Joe "should have" contacted us--meaning if we hadn't called, they would have continued holding our money while saying nothing. Nick's dismissive, unapologetic attitude made it clear this isn't unusual for them, which is even more concerning. Now we're left with: no sliding glass door, a damaged wall, a damaged door frame, and a completely broken customer experience. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
