I just happened to check and see if there was any other plant places in the area and stumbled upon this Lowe's. I was on a mission this day specifically for new plants that I never owned before so I figured I'd check this location out. I love their plant section, it's very clean and robust. They have so many plant options that I really haven't seen anywhere else. I lucked up and found some really hard to find plants and this made my DAY! I was super happy!! The customer service here, wasn't that great, but I didn't care because I wa sin plant heaven lol. I've gone back a couple times and seem to find something new every time I go. This will definitely be on my usual plant stop list now.

To my surprise True Value said they had it in stock so I decided to head over and grab it. When I checked in on yelp at the store, I was surprised to see that I had a 10% off coupon. The woman at the register wasn't familiar with the discount, she said that she needed a code to enter in the system and there wasn't one. She called the owner over and he was also confused but honored the discount. You may not be so fortunate if you decide to go, because he said he may have set that up along time ago when he set up Yelp, and he probably needed to fix it. But I was happy to find the paint that I needed at a discount. I didn't take a lot of time to look around because I went for a specific purpose. But the store seems to be fully stocked.

While I appreciated their history, classic look and the fact that they were still in good shape, it was clear they needed to be updated. I contacted several window companies around town, both local and national establishments. After being put off by some of the high pressure, in person sales tactics other places had, I found the approach that Brian and his team at Zen Windows very refreshing. I also saw that they were voted Best in Charlotte by Charlotte Magazine in 2020, and I wanted to support a local business if I could. Brian was very generous with his time, and it only took a few phone calls with him and a quick visit from his installer to get measurements for them to have all the information they needed. I was impressed with how simple and straightforward the process was. Another huge selling point was that I wouldn't have to pay anything until the job was complete, a big difference from other companies. The turnaround took about three months for the windows to be built, but I would chalk that up to COVID, supply chain issues and increased demand for home projects because of the pandemic rather than anything on Zen's end. Quoted turnaround times at other businesses were similar. Once the windows were ready, Zen sent a simple three man crew to my home to perform the installation. Each gentleman on the crew probably had 30-40 years of window installation themselves, so as a team they were pretty capable. In just two quick morning sessions, my windows were complete! I'm extremely happy with the end result. The windows are fantastic, incredibly easy to use, they look great (black exterior FTW), and I can already tell they perform much better than the old ones. Brian and his team did an outstanding job, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their windows!
