Had my hair cut by Ashley today and she did an awesome job!…read more She was very attentive and listened to my needs and took what I requested and tailored it to my hair texture. She suggested thinning out my hair which I haven't done in a while and I couldn't be more thankful. I have super thick hair so it moves so much better now that it's not so weighed down. She's a sweetheart and you can truly see that she not only knows what she's doing but that she's also passionate about doing it.

Updated: Honestly, Allison, I think your justifications are odd. I came in to get a few silver…read morehighlights put into my bangs. If you couldn't do it, you should have said so. Instead I got yellow and dark brown bumble bee highlights to the middle of my head that don't match my natural hair at all. Plus, now I've got regrowth And yes, when I calculated what i paid to your salon, i did include the generous tips i left. How you could let me leave looking the way I did (which i couldn't tell because of the lighting in your salon) is beyond me. If anyone wants to see the outcome of your work, I've uploaded the photos to my profile - so take a look. And yes, in my many years of going to hair salons, I've posted three bad reviews and yours is one. Honestly, you're the absolute worst. You should feel embarrassed but, clearly, that's not in your repertoire. ......... After growing out my grey hair for three years, while keeping it long, I decided I'd put a few DIY highlights at the front of my bangs, where the hair is still pretty dark. Dumb idea. I went for a fix, but the tone was still off, so I called Texture, where there's a really great colourist who knows how to work with grey. She wasn't available, and I was heading into two weeks of travel and client presentations, so I asked if there was anyone else there experienced at matching grey hair. I was told that Allison, the owner, was. I paid $170 for silver highlights in my bangs. Unfortunately, Allison made a mess of it, giving me big yellow streaks that didn't match my hair at all, then, as an initial attempt to correct the problem, extending it all about three inches back into my natural hair. The result was terrible, dwarfing the issue I started with. The only solution at that point was to put a demi colour on the whole thing to try and get rid of the now very large section of yellowed hair and create some semblance of a unified colour. I understand that mistakes happen. Such is life. But Allison then charged me an additional $75 for the 'fix', bringing me up to $250 for my botched bangs (not to mention the hours i spent at the salon), which still don't match. I was also told that i would now need to tone this big front section of hair, now, every few weeks to keep the yellow at bay, until it grows out - in about a year or so. A very disappointing outcome and customer service experience, all round.

I have been going to this salon for about 2 years, though not consistently (have had man's haircut…read morethere about 8 times). The salon itself is very beautiful, clean and modern which gives a professional picture to it. The staff are good and kind. They have provided me high-quality service, although sometimes not as good as the other times (a little below my expectations of them), but some other times (like today), they were much better than I thought and made me really happy. The only disadvantage of the salon would be it's high-price (which is a normal thing for all professional salons - yet made it expensive for customers). UPDATE: I forget to mention one of their best services: the hair wash before each haircut which is accompanied by head massage... just amazing (Jordan gave me the best massage I ever had...you rock lady) The stylists: I had a some haircuts with Tiffany, and she was great Once I had a haircut with Stephanie (as I mistakenly thought she is Tiffany when booking the appointment!), And she was...meh...just okay...if not bad. Today Richard had cut my hairs and I think he did a great job. Also, I had a few haircuts with a Korean lady which unfortunately I cannot remember her name, but she was also good (and smart).

Michelle was my stylist for the evening and I'm so glad she was, she was so lovely and did such an amazing job on my hair. She is the only one in a long time that listened to what I wanted done with my hair, and did it right! And my hairs not easy I have a thick head of hair.. but she's a talented girl and great with colour and we toned down the colour to match my natural colour underneath a little more, she gave it a glaze for me, a trim off the ends and even stayed a little over her shift to finish my hair! As the other reviews suggest, if you use debit, maybe bring cash to tip the girls. They more than deserve it! I stupidly didn't have much on me but I have pre-booked my next appointment so I'll be making sure to tip the next time! All the girls are amazing, friendly, and so professional for somewhere out of the city.. they provide such a good service! Couldn't recommend them enough! And highly recommend Michelle she is a gem! I also bought the purple shampoo to treat my blonde so my total was somewhere over $200 I forget the exact amount, (there's a breakdown on the receipt) which I found expensive but they did a great job! I'm just not sure I could pay that every time. Also bathrooms are kept clean that's always a nice plus ;-)

I have to say, Dina knows what she's doing & I am very happy with my cut (both after the appointment & since it's grown in). I was so impressed that I hired her to do the hair for all the girls in my wedding party. Two of my bridesmaids had extensions put in for the day and everyone looked great (and we had widely varying hair types in the group) - Dina is a pro. Final two points: 1.) Dina was the first person I talked to on my wedding day and her positive attitude really helped to keep me calm. I also got loads of compliments on my updo. 2.) I've been to the new salon to check it out and it looks really great. Definitely worth a visit!

Probably not the place to go if you want to have a very chatty hairdresser, but that's not my preference so I was very happy. She was very friendly and polite, and recommended some products to me afterward. The salon itself was clean and tidy and she definitely knew what she was doing.
