Naam Pla has plunked itself next to the Theatre Royal smack bang in the centre of town and seems to be the go to chow for all kinds on a Summer eve. Hipsters and tattooed pensioners alike are smattered around the joint which offers both inside and outside seating as well as a bar to sit at whilst waiting for your takeaway. The menu offers more than just your average Thai takeaway around the corner would including whole barramundi with a green mango salad and Australian calamari offered as the staple seafood option for your dishes. It caters well to a sit down meal but I was in the mood to sit down at home. I ordered the beef Pad See Ew with its beautiful dark, sticky soy sauce and fresh greens ($19.50) and 4 mini chicken and prawn spring rolls ($10.00) which were nice but didn't really warrant the price tag. Overall, it was pretty tasty and I am happy that I've finally found some delicious Thai food close to home.

Tried this place for the first time. I called for delivery and while they don't always offer it,…read morethey said they could do it for me, which I appreciated. We had a sample platter for starters. The spring rolls were full and tasty. The fish cakes were delicious and just spicy enough. The green chicken curry was again spicy enough. A bit more chicken would be a nice touch but overall very good. Delivery was a bit slower than expected, however it is difficult to find our address sometimes so it is understandable. Both the person I spoke to on the phone and the delivery person were extremely friendly without being patronising. I highly recommend!

The place is very tastefully decorated, the staff are helpful and welcoming to your need and the prices of their curries and rotis are reasonable. Not to mention the amazing coffee they make. A coffee with curry that I had cost somewhere between $16. Considering the food, their hospitality and the place. It is worth it.

Just because it's in there middle of an industrial district, this is not just a quick place for workers to get lunch. A combination coffee shop and thai restaurant, it excels at both. Firstly the coffee. These guys know their stuff, and easily have the best coffee in Shepparton. They roast their own beans and put a lot of care into it. Their rotated beans are so highly regarded that they actually sell them to a lot of the other cafes around Shepparton. Next, the food. First, don't expect a menu of a Thai restaurant. They have a menu with about five thai dishes, which constantly changes to keep it interesting. Very full of flavour and with flavours and dishes that go beyond what most people have tried and thai restaurants. Once you go you'll see want this strange out of the way place is always so popular.

Food was delicious, great variety on the menu and serving size was very generous. Was able to BYO but also noted they had some good staple wines available for selection. Highly recommend, we'll be returning for sure! Was very quiet for patrons (maybe because it was midweek?) but takeaway seemed to be flowing in and out of the door.

It is seriously good, and reason enough alone to head to this Thai restaurant in Rosanna Village. The décor is calming and stylish and the second level makes this small space appear bigger then it is. The service is charming if not a little erratic and there is a limited beverage selection so BYO. Now to the main event, the food. It is consistently delicious. Have I mentioned the roti? Please don't be dissuade by my obsession with the roti, the rest of the menu is great in itself. Thai curries mingle with spicy salads and noodles. Everything on the menu is good, no great. The dishes taste as they are made from the freshest ingredients and the flavours are simple yet complex, like all good Thai food should be. Baan Thai also delivers in the local area and the quality of the food is maintained here too. Check the website and phone your order through, it is popular so on Friday and Saturday nights make sure you leave at least an hour. Baan Thai is a consistent and welcomed addition to my families birthday dinner rotation. And did I mention the roti?
