I am currently a patient of Dr. Kloupar. I have been going to her since this past Feb, 2018. I was also a patience several years ago before she moved to her current location (and I never had a problem). Dr. Kloupar is not in my insurance plan, therefore, until I met the 500.00 deductible, my visits were 150.00 per month. After the deductible is met, my insurance will cover 70% of my office visits.
When I attempted to have my prescription filled in April 2018, I was told I had to begin 'Mail Order Prescriptions' to fill prescriptions and could no longer have them filled at Wal-Mart as I normally do....This is mandatory by 'Benecard'.
To date, I had an appointment the beginning of this May and explained that I had to now have my prescriptions called in through mail order and explained I could no longer have them filled at Wal-Mart like I normally do. Because I didn't have my prescription card on me, I had to call Dr. Kloupar's office and provide them with my 'Benecard Info' which I did the moment I return home after my appointment. I was told that they would submit my prescription so that I would receive it on time. I was also told that it sometimes takes a few days to receive and was warned it may not arrive by the 19th.
Because Dr. Kloupar was going to be away at the time of my June appointment, I was recommended to make an appointment at the end of May so that I would not run out of my meds while she was away. Therefore I did...2 appointment in the month of May 2018. I knew I would not be able to get a refill until June 19th....even though my 2nd May appointment was May 30th. I assumed my prescription would be called in or whatever was necessary to receive my prescription on time.
On June 20th, I called Dr. Kloupar's office and left a message stating I hadn't received the prescription and that I contacted 'Benecard' and they stated the prescription was NOT called in. I then called Dr. Kloupar's office again and left another message indicating what I was told by Benecard. I never received a call back from dr. Kloupar's office in regards to either of the 2 messages I left.
I called Dr. Kloupars office (on June 25th) again after calling 'Benecard' again to again find out that my prescription STILL hadn't been called in. I finally got in touch with the staff and was told that they received my message along with 20 others and that they were not able to send in my prescription because the Dr. was not in as she was on vacation. I was also asked if I bothered to call the office to request my prescription be called in. I was NEVER told I had to do this. On May 30th, they told me that they would submit my prescription when it was suppose to be submitted and that it could still take a few days to receive.
On June 25th, because there was NO doctor available in the office to call in my prescription, I asked if it was possible to contact my primary Dr. to have him call in the prescription....they told me I could try.....I asked if THEY could call him as I am sure if I called (if they were willing to do so) they would need the request coming from my doctor. I then asked them to call me back so I knew what was going on. NOBODY EVER CALLED ME BACK....STILL NO MEDS!
Today is June 26th...STILL NO CALLS BACK. STILL NO MEDS. So disappointed. I am now wondering why I had 2 Doctor appointments in the month of May ($300.00). I paid for an UNNECESSARY appointment!!
Something is not right here. While I have never had a problem with the staff before, I can tell by the tone of the woman I spoke to that she was annoyed at my request and was not helpful at all. I felt like a complete inconvenience. My anxiety is through the roof.
I have been out of meds for the past several days....this is not right. read more
