I filled out my paperwork and told the Receptionist that I was refused to see Dr. Jain in her other Practice in Sparta, NJ because I'd seen her associate, Dr. Kloupar (another bad one, which I don't recommend as she's also unprofessional and rude.) BUT the Receptionist at Dr. Jain's Office in Hackettstown specifically told me that the 2 offices weren't in ANY way associated and that these were completely different practices. Then the Receptionist slipped away to where the Doctor was and Dr. Jain came in and told me that she does NOT prescribe Benzos (medications like Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, Valium) and that I'm in the wrong place and should go. I could see she was really upset. I then told her that I'm willing to try a different route and want to get off the Xanax I'm currently taking. She then got very irate and said NO! That I should've told the Receptionist I took this medication before making an appointment (like that's MY JOB and like I knew she didn't prescribe these meds.) She then told me to leave in a VERY rude, extremely unprofessional and downright mean way. I was so shocked I just said ok and left. I'm so angry and upset! This is WRONG! All this has done is made my already EXTREME Anxiety problems escalate and again shaken my faith in the Psychiatric Profession (at least here in NJ.) How cruel! And I promise I'm NOT exaggerating! I think she was angry that she wasn't going to get my $225 since her Private Practice DOES NOT take ANY insurance. Anyway I DO NOT AT ALL recommend anyone seeing this highly unprofessional and uncaring person. Unbelievable! And so sad... Also I want to add that the Receptionists in the Sparta Office (Highland Psychiatric Associates) are also rude and unfriendly. The only reason I went to see Dr. Jain in her Private Practice is because I saw Dr. Kloupar in Sparta, NJ (this location) and got nowhere because she was SO closed-minded to SO MANY medications and side effects. She didn't believe me when I said something made my anxiety worse because it wasn't supposed to. She treated me with disrespect and was very rude and cold. So I decided maybe I could see Dr. Jain there. So I called Highland Psychiatric and was curtly told that once you see one Doctor there you can under no circumstance see another. Also I should mention I DO have insurance! I'm just so desperate for help and tired of waiting 6 weeks for appointments that I was willing to pay even though I can't afford it. And for this I get kicked out of an office by an unfeeling, cruel Doctor. This is absolutely uncalled for! I hope someone out there believes me because I have no reason to lie or embellish. I'm not out to hurt anyone and that's precisely why I'm writing this. So no one else gets hurt like I did.

Elaine hardy, MS, RN, APN, C; is not just an amazing medical professional, she is one of those caring and intuitive physicians from a bygone era. It used to be when you walked into a doctor's office, they had more than HMO training, more than just the ability to follow HMO rules and regulations, there used to be doctors who actually had knowledge and were intuitive about your body and condition. You will find this once again Elaine. Over eight years ago, after having gone to a myriad of doctors and specialist, all of which were baffled by my condition, it was Elaine who was finally able to pin-point my issues and begin to help me work through them. By the time I had reached her, I was in fairly bad shape, unable to walk on my own and had a lump in my breast, most doctors were penciling in the death certificate but Elaine took a far more positive approach. She worked with my family to help us develop a treatment protocol which centered around my desire to stay as holistic as possible. She was sensitive to my desire to treat the cancer holistically and supported my decision, even though at times, I knew she was concerned. Elaine did not lecture me or try to force me into anything I was not comfortable in doing. Instead, she would lay out the options to my family and allowed us to make the decision that best suited my body. Elaine then supported us throughout our chosen treatment protocol. I still have clean cancer numbers 4 1/2 years after having a 3 1/2 pound, triple-negative tumor removed in a mastectomy. When most doctors didn't think I'd make it off the surgery table, Elaine stayed supportive of our family. In the end, I survived the cancer. I am still dealing with the severe neurological disease that put me in a wheelchair as a paraplegic but even in what seems like a dead-end condition, we are seeing small steps forward. Elaine worked with all my illnesses from the beginning, helping me to find ways to deal with the pain, looking for new treatment methods when the old ones weren't working and giving me hope for the future. She never gives up on you, she just keeps on working to find the answers. Her knowledge is amazing and she is willing to think 'outside the box' in trying to find the root cause of your issues instead of treating symptoms, something that is difficult to find in the medial field these days. She looks for the layers that so often are involved in illness instead of a short-cut version that usually keeps one feeling...just good enough, instead of great! When I went for my first PT session, I had virtually no movement in my left arm and intense pain that was preventing me from sleeping. After three sessions and the exercises at home, I had no pain and dramatically increased movement. I've been working with Matt and Chris who are phenomenal, but everyone in the practice is friendly and knowledgeable. Matt and Chris took a lot of time to understand the extensive back story leading to the diagnosis. This is not a cookie-cutter rehab factory. The therapists have extensive knowledge and tailor their treatments to each client. I can't say enough about how wonderful this practice is.

everything i have to say is factual and seen with my own eyes from working within this practice…read more liz and chris hayden, the owners, have difficulty with communication, both with staff and patients. they allow the front desk staff to schedule patients past their insurance visit limit and continue to provide skill care to patients that have diagnosed chronic conditions, that show no sign of improvement. they are always adjusting the schedule from home and off office hours to accommodate friends or people who own a business and are completing projects at their home in Long Valley. they waive the cancellation fee, not based on circumstance but who the patient is, if there was a gap in the schedule from a cancellation the first question was always what patient was there previously, assuming that they could make a decision on whether to impose the cancel fee or not. behind the scenes, the owners wife Liz, is very particular, there's a black line on the whole punch to make sure all papers are punched to her specifications; which is not the issue i might add, wanting things done a specific way is fine! but the real issue lies within the process of how they fired me, almost identical as to what they did to the previous receptionist when i was hired. in january when hired, i was told that liz was interested in handing off responsibilities and being at NJPR less, as i began to work more, the former receptionist was losing hours rapidly, to the point where she was only working 8am-11am on monday and friday until she resigned. fast forward to this week, my hours had been drastically cut to less than 25 hours each week. when i confronted about the changes i was told there was a software install over the next couple weeks (which no one else in the practice could confirm), mean while liz and chris had posted the receptionist position on indeed, claiming it was meant for when our summer staff leaves, in six weeks which doesn't add up either. after emotions running high, safe to say they severed ties. i would like to add that the technicians and other therapists in the office love nothing more than helping patients get back on their feet and have the purest compassion and heart i have ever seen working in the medical field. liz and chris hayden do however need to learn better management and have better ethics while running the practice, its more and more busy each day and they would 100% benefit from some changes and being open minded 1
