Be prepared for a somewhat steep climb up to the Biergarten and Monastery. You will definitely need a beer when you reach the top. The property is gorgeous and we enjoyed the view. Definitely try any of the restaurants/food vendors. They all looked delicious and we decided on sausage and sauerkraut - very good. Also, the beer is fantastic! One star off for the less than friendly server at the restaurant.

I've only been living her for about 6 months so yes; I'm proud of my german language skillz. As long as you try a little german the locals will love you for it even if they don't necessarily show it sometimes, if you know what I mean. ;). Anyways, as I was saying the food is just great as well as the ambiance of the place. My 5 year old son had the Käsespatzen (small noodles with cheese and roasted onions... Yummy) he just loves that stuff. My wife and I had the Ziegenkäse salad (goat cheese with salad on the side). Don't be fooled. This is more than just you typical cheese and salad type of a meal. It is specifically prepared Bavarian style where the cheese is baked in a wooden oven giving it a warm and soft taste making your taste buds go wild. Both were well made and good to eat. The carpaccio was a generous portion, well dressed with arugula/rocket and parmesan shavings. For main course, we had the scalopini with mushrooms and tagliatele bolognese. The generous portion of bolognese was delicious served with perfectly cooked pasta. The scalopini were ok. For desert we ordered creme brulee and panna cotta. The sugar on the creme brulee is torched at the table. This was well made and delicious. The panna cotta was not fully set so it was flat on plate. It was also too sweet. This dessert should not habe been served in the state it was in as it was clearly not ready, they took it off the bill. I would possibly try the place again if in the area but not a go to for Italian food.
