You know, I've never done a review for a radio station and may never do another one, it's just, well, this station just flat out ROCKS! If I had an Ipod, their playlist is what I would have as my playlist.They play rock and roll, some old, some new I like every song they play. I've never heard the same song played twice in a week, the DJ's are always clever and funny and are never over the top hyper, which I find incredibly annoying. They used to broadcast here in Portland, and when they did I thought I had found Nirvana, now that they have contracted back to the Mid-Willamette valley, I only get to listen when I'm south of Portland. Also, they don't have a link so I can listen on my computer like many stations do. Note to Management:I WOULD LISTEN ALL THE TIME IF YOU HAD A LINK TO THE INTERNET! KLOO FM 106.3 just smokes any Rock station in Portland. Simulcast over the internet, but if you are driving in the Willamette Valley the better the signal strength grows heading south. It's in Corvallis / Albany area. Some of the DJ's song selections can be more preferable than others. But, they're not the usual Top 40 crap you've heard a million times before. This is straight up Album Oriented Rock and Roll. Late night programming has almost no commercial interruptions. read more

I am upset now so that is why I am giving your station a modest 1 star. On Thursday February 9, 2017 at 7:25pm I was driving home and a comment came on the station that stated: "LIFE IS ALWAYS BETTER WITH NO PANTS ON!". I am upset to say the least and have no way of knowing why this was said! I am just grateful I did NOT have my grandchildren in the car. I pulled over and wrote the statement down so I would not forget what was said so I could contact the station, which I will do after this comment. What in the world would possess you to have a statement like that on the air??? It is very hurtful, demeaning, angry, and disgusting! You have NO idea of who has heard this horrible hurtful comment that maybe has experienced trauma in their life that violated their body. I listen to your station more than any other station because you don't play rap music, which I feel is generally distasteful. Your songs are good easy listening which I appreciate. But lately there have been off-colored comments, no where as strong as this one but in ways distasteful. This is a touchy new year with all that is going on with people saying hurtful things to each other causing protests etc. The radio and tv need to be of help in boasting good feelings and good messages not hurtful and damaging. Please take this as a gentle warning that you are more powerful than you may realize and I am only giving you my personal feelings. I just hope no one has been seriously hurt emotionally due to a bad comment as this one. Please work harder on making our country stronger with uplifting words not hurtful. I know I could change stations and listen to a religious show but you generally have met my needs for good music and I will give you a chance but I will write again if I hear off color comments. What I love about this station is I can listen to it almost all the way from Portland to Eugene and further south. Sad thing about that is that makes it so tough to call in during a contest. :-) Keep up the good work team and love Debi Starr in the mornings and at remotes. read more
