Don't make the same mistake I made by hiring him. He never responds to calls or emails. His "office", which is a rented suite in the Hutton ranch plaza, is always locked. I am very disappointed in Mr Klinkhammer. He does not return phone calls text messages or emails. Bankruptcy's can be very difficult and he makes it worse. Very unorganized and if you're looking for someone to help you go somewhere else. Anywhere else. It's been one week and still no response. I showed up for my appointment and he forgot I was coming. We had Mike handle our Bankruptcy. He is an extremely difficult person to contact. Does not respond to emails or voicemails. You schedule an appointment, only to be told he has no idea why you are there and he cant talk to you. Found out that he never looked at half of our paperwork and didnt complete our case. When we asked him to honor his contract and complete the work we paid for, he stopped responding at all. We have to get a new attorney to finish the case and Mike doesnt seem to care about breach of contract. Horrible experience and would not recommend him to anyone. read more

If you're looking for an attorney look elsewhere! Michael doesn't listen to your needs/wants. Misrepresented the therapist were working with after being corrected by us AND the therapist. I came to Michael for some help with a parenting plan. I should have gone with my instinct on this one after stepping foot in his "office." It was difficult to ever get a call, email, or even text message from him. Had an appointment and showed up with no one there. None of my calls were answered. When I called the next day, his fiance said she forgot to call and reschedule me, but was busy and would call me back. Never did. I had to call again the next day. He even accused me of having his email wrong because he "never" got anything from me, when in fact he was searching for my email wrong in his inbox (did he even read them to begin with?). I also dropped off paperwork he needed about 10 days before the deadline he gave me. He called the day before the deadline in a panic saying I never got him that paperwork and we needed to go through it that evening. On such a short notice I wasn't able to meet in the next few hours... Again, clearly unorganized and I felt my case was on the back burner. Every time I met with him it was as if I had to explain everything over again. He couldn't remember any of the details about my case. Maybe he was too busy with other cases, but could have said so and I would have not bothered him with mine. When it came time for mediation, all of the things we discussed that I felt necessary and important for the parenting plan were pushed aside. He didn't represent me at all - or best interests for my daughter. I felt pressured to sign the papers when he kept repeating, "Just sign them today because you'll spend thousands of more dollars to get the same thing from the courts." Which may be true, but clearly wanted my case to be done and off his plate. I was so upset. As I was about to leave he told me I had about $1,300 more to be billed to me after the mediation but he wouldn't charge me if I told everyone what a great job he did. Don't waste your time or money. In an already emotional and stressful circumstance, this lawyer does not help make the process any easier. read more

Probably the most unprofessional business I have ever seen from the office to the conducting of business. After you give your retainer, they won't take or return your calls and always want you to come in after hours because they really don't have time for you, just need your money. Nothing is ever filed till the last minute oh, and of course that is somehow your fault. Never wins his cases, horrible presence in the courtroom and quits in the eleventh hour right before trial. Also, notice all the cars and boats in the parking lot....things he has taken from people be fore he quits. I had him help me with 3 cases simultaneously and lost 2 and quit on one. His "office" is the nastiest place I've ever been to. My husband wanted to hire him for bankruptcy and on the phone his secretary or wife whoever she was like "bring your kids we love kids!" Well when we got there we couldn't even walk through the door because there were two huge dogs looking through the glass door that my kids were terrified of. My husband cracked the door open and they ran out and started barking at my kids. My kids were screaming and Mike was annoyed and said "you weren't supposed to let them out". What?! We just wanted to go inside. It was so dirty and gross inside with tons of things and old decor everywhere that hasn't been dusted in ages if at all. He led us into his office and we had to sit on dusty nasty chairs. He had like 6 opened cans of soda on his desk and just absolute junk everywhere!! So disgusting. He was basically laughing in my husbands face when we tried to explain why we wanted to file bankruptcy and only got a tiny bit serious when he found out my husband has a rare kidney disease. He makes you feel like you're a nuisance to him and it's nearly impossible to get a hold of him through phone or email. We do NOT recommend him. After that whole experience we will be looking for hopefully a better, more cleanly, more understanding, more professional lawyer. read more
