Still listed on Google as being called 'Cafe Centro', this nice little cafe is located inside the Arundel Plaza shopping centre on Napper Road, Parkwood. Perhaps the cafe was only recently taken over by Kleins, who also have a larger cafe/bar & grill in Runaway Bay.
The staff at Kleins in Arundel Plaza appeared to be in their 40s, 50s and 60s rather than the 20-somethings who usually run cafes. They were friendly and pleasant enough. Not over-the-top bubbly. But they're a bit older. We can forgive them. Pleasant is enough, really. They were a bit tired. It was 8am.
Their coffee is yummy, and best of all - their $6 breakfast is amazing! It's like a home cooked breakfast. Bacon and eggs on toast with tomato. Just $6! Very filling. Very delicious. It's something you could make at home, but if you're on the go and passing through, it's perfect. A really good feed for such a low price.
Great place to set up a laptop and work too. There were a couple of people working from there. And a few elderly folks reading the paper over breakfast too. read more
