We were looking for somewhere to have breakfast before visiting the Chocolate museum, and this…read morebakery appeared in our search. We are so glad we went! I had a brötchen and a croissant, and my husband had a mini pizza and a croissant, and everything was delicious! We were there around 11 AM, so we didn't expect all the breads to still be so fresh. It's not a chain bakery, and it's probably more meant to be for locals, but we had a great experience. Service was friendly and attentive, and the breakfast is still one of the best we've had on our trip. Definitely recommend!

Like a seeded roll with salad and maybe some chicken or turkey? or even a turducken (I've never had a turducken sandwich but I think they should become real, maybe I'll open an artisan bread shop and to contrast the high quality bread I'll stuff the rolls full of Turducken in an effort to demonstrate the inequality we experience all to often in the western world, especially at the hands of hipsters in the LA farmers market scene). If you ever see a Turducken please ensure you kill it and eat it as they are verging on extinction and unless we consume more of them the supermarkets will stop stocking them and future generations may never get to experience the magic that is. Lovely sandwiches, freshly made, super price, great sweet treats also. Das ist Gut!

As I'm standing outside of the bakery, I am witnessing a SWARM of bees gnawing on the cinnamon rolls. I have never seen anything like it before. It was no big thing???! People walking by, unphased by the bees...and the bees couldn't care less about the people. They were on a mission to chip away at the sugar coated pastries. My girlfriend told me that in the springtime, there are WAY more bees. So much that you can't actually see the those sugar coated pastries. What really blows my mind is the fact that people working behind the counter aren't even remotely moved by the bees. It's business as usual. We got our Berliners, and found our way to the next stop. We opened the bag and lo and behold, a bee came crawling out. As for the Berliner...this is where my 2 star rating comes in. It looked to me like a sugar coated jelly donut...which is my favorite kind of donut. When I bit into this visually appealing Berliner, I was so disappointed. It was a dry, somewhat tasteless, jelly filled bread thing. I'm not sure if that is what a Berliner is *supposed* to taste like, or if this is just a bad representation of a Berliner. Whatever the case may be, it seems to me that this could be WAY better.
