There isn't a massive selection, but everything there was fresh and tasty. Beer selection was solid, as to be expected, and the food was all good. The schnitzel was nice and crispy on the outside, and still moist enough on the inside. The burgers looked decent enough, as did the grilled pork with spaetzle. Service was typical for Germany, and as you'll find in a lot of places the food comes out of the kitchen as it is ready, not all at once, so there can be some time between the first and last plates arriving. If that is the case, the polite thing to do in Germany is to eat your food when it arrives so that you are eating it hot.

When I arrived with my dogs, the "family" was out for a royal boar hunt. The staff left cookies and tea for my arrival. My month spent there was one of the most enjoyable and memorable I will ever experience. The family made me part of their family. I enjoyed meeting "the princess "and riding with her in her cart and buggy in the afternoons when she got home from school. My walks in the mornings through impressive gardens, wetlands, and the neighborhood was priceless. Everyone quickly found out I was the American with the Germen Shepherd Dogs training Schutzund in the evenings. My guest home was impeccable with 3 rooms, a view and the my room was terrific. If you ever want to go stay at a castle for more than one night for less than $1,000 rent here for a week or two..so soak up such an ideal experience.
