Attorney named suffer at this firm was paid $4,200+ for one hour of representation in a family court matter. The attorney moved to withdraw on his own immediately after, but I was accidentally CC'd on an internal email that made me uncomfortable. I requested a partial refund but received an invoice for additional fees. Some charges appeared to be for withdrawal filings that were initially done incorrectly and resubmitted. Based on my experience, I was dissatisfied and have since pursued the matter through the Florida Bar's fee arbitration and complaint process. * Rule 4-1.16(d): Lawyer must return unearned fees and promptly refund any advance payment of fee that has not been earned. * Rule 4-1.4 (Communication): Requires reasonable communication with client. * Rule 4-8.4(c) & (d): Prohibits dishonesty, fraud, misrepresentation, and conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice. read more

If I could give negative number of stars I would have but they make you put at least 1 star in.All this firm cared about was $$$. Never once did I feel like they were honestly working with and for me to help me win my case.also in our one court hearing, my lawyer got completely manhandled by the judge and opposing counsel too. I was so embarrassed! This is the worst firm I have ever dealt with after Eric gives an amazing sales pitch for himself as to be your lawyer and I was sold on all he said, to find out once I retained them, I got thrown to a different lawyer who I would have never approved! Oh and again, doesn't matter there. They have that one think always on there mind even more than winning cases and that is always getting money money money. They helped me if I could say in such a negative way with my case they did! So I paid approx. $15000 for zero result whatsoever except negativity. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS FIRM EVER AGAIN AND HOPE THIS WILL PROTECT OTHERS FROM MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE AS I MADE IN RETAINING THEM. Don't do it. They I think are the worst firm in all of Boca and should really be in a business of collecting peoples money but definitely not in the business of defending people during some of there hardest times they will ever face in life. Eric even got on the phone for the first time with me when I owed him money and started to kick and scream for his money and threatened to just drop me as a client if it weren't paid pretty quickly. Well I do hope this review does help others get turned away from you and your evil/money hungry bunch of absolutely weak lawyers and all liars too. My next review will be seen by the BBB and sure the Eric Klein Law Group will love that too especially since they even just decided to drop me as a client as well, after spending in upwards of $15k. Divorce Case - it took my now ex-wife with the help of her son and his family just 90 minutes to walk out on me after 39 years of marriage. When asked "Why?" Her response was, "You don't love me ... I'm sorry." I said, "But I do love you." My words meant nothing. I worked hard as a teacher to pay the bills. She did not have to work, and could sleep until almost noontime, then she would go to the pool. Her help in the house was buying the weekly groceries. A few days later, after she left, I got served with divorce papers. The cost to start the divorce process - $Thousand$, and I really didn't have any money, so I put it all on a credit card. Seven months later during a two-hour allotted time for negotiations I became speechless because of what was being asked of me by the opposing counsel and ex-wife to be as if I was a Hollywood star and so nothing was accomplished. Then, by this time what dawned on me was that it seemed as if anything my ex-wife's attorney wanted, my attorney would agree to it - crazy. By this time my family was screaming at me to get a second opinion. At last, it took an outsider (Zee) who said after listening to me go on a rant about what was happening, "Look, I'm not your friend, I'm not family, we just do business together, but I need you to promise me that when we hang up you will call another lawyer and get a second opinion. I have been all through this myself, and so do it! Pay whatever it will cost but promise me you will do it." So, I did it. I called and talked with Eric Klein and after just a couple of minutes, I had this "gut-feeling" that this was the law firm that should be representing me. A second meeting was scheduled, and it was at this time I met an extraordinary attorney Mariajose Rivera (Maria) - a person I honestly had a vision about even before the first mediation took place. A special professional who would save me from all this divorce craziness. Someone who truly understood family law and more importantly was the first and only one who fully understood what I not only wanted as an outcome, but what was right. Again, when I first saw Maria, I knew she was the person who I had a prior vision of helping me and felt quickly at peace. She was always professional and gave quick and attentive responses to all my communications.
