Though we didn't get the results we wanted, they still were able to give the best possible outcome without having anything show up on the record. That was the ultimate goal anyway. I was able to pay her the first $500, but I couldn't swing the second $500. I referred the credit card companies and collection agencies to her, and they mostly stopped bothering me. A year or so later, we started gettng real salaries, and I started paying down my consumer debt. I noticed I hadn't received a statement from Wells Fargo in quite some time. I called them, told them I was solvent again, and could they please start sending me statements again. The guy I talked to said no. He was in the Collections Department, where my account had been sent after Ms. White confirmed that I was filing for bankruptcy. To send me statements, they would have to send my account back to Operations, and I would have to start paying finance charges. If we kept it in collections, I could pay a fixed amount every month and not pay finance charges. He liked this because he'd get a 100% recovery, which is not common in Collections. So that's what we did. I paid off the Wells Fargo account in a couple years, they were happy, and I didn't pay a dime in finance charges, so I was happy. I figure Cynthia White saved me about $700 in finance charges during those two years. She saved me more money than I spent to retain her services. I would absolutely do business with her again.
