They are true their claim that emergencies are seen the same day, even if you're not a regular patient. My dad ended up needing a root canal and he said Dr. Schmitt did a great job. I call other dental practices and they make new patients wait months sometimes, regardless of pain or the situation. When making our appointment the receptionist was very helpful and was able to answer questions appropriately, and even found an appointment that was perfect for us. When we arrived for the first time we called to inform them we were in the parking lot and they let us know we could go inside. We were treated with a temperature check and lots of masked smiles. Our hygienist was Kayla and she was so great with our little one. She took note of the preference sheet and knew just how to make our little one smile. Dr. Chinonis greeted us almost immediately and assessed the lip tie and explained the procedure. The lip tie was taken care of in less than 1 min with minimal crying and bleeding. I was extremely impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the waiting room and the efficiency and level of care my daughter received. The hygienist was wonderful with my daughter and I really liked Dr Brad and the amount of time he took answering questions we had especially since it was a little more of orthodontics questions than dental since my daughter was switched from braces to Invisalign recently. However he was happy to answer any questions because he said his main concern was my daughter having the best smile possible. That says a lot to me when a dr will take extra time and not make you feel rushed or like you are bothering them. My mom worked as a hygienist with GEDC for 30 years and my family and I have been to at least 7 different locations over the years. I have 7 children of my own and have always been thrilled with how wonderful their dental experience has been. Just moving to the area we tried the Grand Blanc office. First red flag, they would not allow me to go back with my 5 year old very nervous daughter. I have always gone back with my kids and we have always had a great experience. After listening to my daughter cry while 3 of them worked to take her X-rays I couldn't sit in the waiting room any longer. My intention was to go back and help calm her down and support her. The hygienist stated we can't have you back here and stood between my daughter and I. She explained that it took 3 of them to do her X-rays. I told her that if you would have taken one minute to play with her and show her things this all could have been avoided. She then told me that we would need to reschedule when "I" have calmed down. I moved past her to my daughter and told her we wouldn't be back. Do Not bring children to this office! I now understand why they have so many available appointments.
