I usually come here to get my pedicures done and they are a great place and they do a great job! But today I decided to treat myself and get my nails done as well, and I really wish I skipped on it besides the lady being very dismissive every time I try to tell to fix something I didn't like nails are just not good quality for what I paid for the them! I came in to see if they can cut my son's toe nail off, my son is 5 and did not let me cut it off since it's an overly ingrown toenail so it was hurting him. the gentleman there said he will talk to my son . When my family 1st moved here we tried a couple other salons but been coming to KK Nails 4x's now. This is our go to nail salon in Red Bluff. We always call ahead for appointments & when we arrive we are seated immediately. Always friendly & they do a fantastic job on our feet. My 1st set at this place didn't last 7 days and then my nails started lifting off idk why the acrylic didn't hold but for the $ I paid. It's been a very annoying experience having to keep adding nail glue just to keep them from breaking my actual nails im trying to get to grow stronger. I decided to give KK nails a try today for the first time. Their storefront is an impressive and a bit of a turn off however when I walked inside I was pleasantly surprised. I was immediately seated in a chair and a nail tech promptly begin my pedicure. They have three levels of pedicure I chose the lowest level because I was a bit short on time and was told it would be approximately 30 minutes. The pedi took 1 hour 10 minutes. I wouldn't have complained if it was a great pedi, but it wasn't, she was just REALLY slow!! I didn't even walk out with s good pedi. The polish is all over the skin around my toes and all my nails are trimmed crooked. Additionally a woman sitting next to me has made a request that they wouldn't honor. They then proceeded to whisper to one another in another language obviously talking about her. I won't be going back! read more

My first visit was ok. The mail tech was quick and efficient and did an ok job on the nail art I asked for. Price were responsible. I'll go back maybe for a pedicure next. I was disappointed when I called to see if they had an opening and was told they were full and it was appointment only. So I made an appointment for the next day. When I went in I waited for 30 min and 2 people with in that time came in and were walk ins and they took them quickly. A few things COVID RELATED. They are not disinfecting chairs after each customer, so you are hoping the previous person is not infected. Also, no use of hand sanitizer. Although they say they work strictly with appointments saw three walk ins get service. The guy that did my nails was mediocre at best, so would not recommend. Went to take my nieces to get their nails done for Christmas. The owner of the salon made my 9 year old niece feel extremely uncomfortable. Shes 9 she doesn't know what to ask for. I explained the service she wanted while she picked colors and he completely ignored me. Proceeded to question her and she told him "idk what that is I'm a kid." He asked me "who are you? after I proceeded to explain what my niece wanted. He completely ignored me and was in my nieces face eye level. He asked her why she wanted her nails done. The entire thing was just bizarre. I also don't think it matters who I am. Weird and not kid friendly whatsoever. We left and were treated much better at top nails. read more

Each time I come here I'm always promptly greeted, and sat down to get started rather quickly (I highly recommend calling in for an appointment) the owners are so sweet and even pass out candy to the little ones. What I noticed is when I make an appointment, I always have to wait, and they rush the work because they schedule someone 15 minutes after me or anybody else. Absolutely terrible. I've been a couple times to their salon and the first time one of the male nail techs was being very inappropriate and touching me wrongly. I had to leave immediately without finishing my nails. A fungus grew on one of my finger nails from the acrylics which I find very disgusting. Also the people that work there have been very very rude to me which broke my heart. I pay over $100 for my nails to get disrespected and mistreated. My experience was literally awful. Everyone said they're the best in town, and they literally jacked up my nails so bad. I had to go back and and get them fixed and I'm not one to complain ever. And they were literally so rude all the nail techs were coming up to me grabbing my fingers and looking at my nails and were just beyond rude. Literal rudeness from every employee except Kayla. The first guy had told me he can't do what I wanted because he's "old, do something simple" and then he was always on his phone and then they moved me to another lady halfway through. The nails are uneven way too thick and the marble is awful, you can barely see it., along with the pointer finger, I asked her to make it thicker and you can still barely see it in person. I asked her twice to fix it and it's still not good. I asked for purple and they gave me blue at first so I had to show them what Color I wanted after. Let's start with when you make an appointment they still have you waiting for 20-30 mins to get your nails done. I went today and waited 25 mins even though I had an appointment set. The lady doing my nails (can't remember her name) was using the grinder thing to take my polish off my nails and it cut my cuticle about a second later she was trying to do it so fast it slipped and cut the hell out of the tip of my finger. Then she did it again so in a matter of 2 minutes my finger was cut 3 times (cuticle once and finger twice) and I mean she did a good job on my nails I love them and the flower she did. But still charged me 40$. I'm very disappointed!!! read more

The first time I came in the girl in the front desk was not welcoming or helpful at all she just said sit right there when I had a few questions on pricing but whatever. I've had acrylic nails pretty consistently since the early "90s" My regular nail tech retired and I needed a new set of acrylics. This place had been open a few months and so I thought I would give it a try. The salon is modestly decorated and for the most part, clean. Instruments were is sight and in disinfectant. The pedicure spa had liners and while I didn't have a pedicure, I would have, had I had the time. The man who did my nails was friendly and did a great job putting the nails on. The shape I asked for was what he did. He used disinfected tools. 3 weeks later I was due for a fill. I decided since I was no longer working I would take my nails off and give MY nails a rest. Normally, you soak the nails in PURE ACETONE. I went to Beauty Supping and bought a 16 oz bottle. I soaked my nails for over an hour. They wouldn't even lift from the nail bed. The next day I soaked them again for 30 minutes. So much for being easy on my own nails! For 3 days I soaked my fingers in pure 100% acetone. Still, no lift. I went to a salon in Redding to see if they could remove them. $40.00 and 3 bleeding fingers later , they were off! I spoke with my old nail tech as well as 2 others who said it was highly likely that this salon was using counterfeit acrylic. It will make it very difficult to remove the nails, meaning IMPOSSIBLE. I talked with the State Board and they confirmed the likelihood of counterfeit products. While I have no confirmation of this, I have talked to another woman who also had this problem at this salon. I only have my experience of 30 years of acrylics and the experience I had. I'm just saying be careful and don't ruin your own nail beds, as I did. I would find a nail tech in a salon and not go to these " nail mills." This advice from friends and the CA State Board. read more

if I could give no stars I would. my mom and I were wanting to go and get a mani/pedi today so we walked in to kk nails ,While I was getting my pedi finished up pierre had came over to finish my mom up but he didn't do her pedi , he asked if we were related I said yes that's my mom he looks over at my mom who is a size small on a bad day ! and made a comment about my weight ! Well why are you so and then said I must look like my dad I just sat there stewing for the remainder of the time that we were there . So we paid $140 also that one comment about my weight wasn't it I over heard them talking shit in their language about how I should be charged by my weight 4 to 500 dollars for 2 basic shitty mani and pedis.. oh and I guess the rude service came for free or with the service at this point I'm really not sure. I've been in a few times this last year and had my nails (both mani and pedi done). The gal that usually does my pedicures has always been great and is very sweet. I recently made an appointment for a color change on my nails. I was less than 10 min late and apologized when I walked in. The man that obviously runs the place took me aside sat me in a chair, was extremely rough with my fingers (almost burning my finger tips from filing so hard) and rushed through with a crappy job overall. He didn't even remove all of my previous gel polish, obviously on purpose. Some lady jumped in to finish the job (and was nice) then he came back and berated me while I paid saying that if I am more than 5 minutes late my appointment will go to someone else.
