Overall, Aiken Luxury Rentals has been amazing, Bill and Simmie have been incredibly welcoming. The property is ideally located close to downtown, within 5-minute walking distance of the wonderful Hitchcock woods (I took walks there every morning before work). The cottage was immaculate, well-maintained and fully outfitted. Would recommend highly!

They have a wonderful talent for refurbishing properties and excellent taste in furnishing and decorating their properties. They have several rental units to choose from, from stand-alone cottages to on-property lofts, apartments and housing units. They are the first people I call whenever my wife and I need a place to stay, like in 2012 when our house was being remodeled; or when we have friends and family visit for special events, like the Masters Golf Tournament and the Spring Steeplechase. I have personally spent time in La Petit Apartment, the Loft, the Gate House, the Laundry House and some of their other properties and totally enjoy the experience every time I stay at one of their locations. Locally owned and operated, the owners have received several awards from the City of Aiken for their successful restorations and improvements on many properties; most notably their work in Kershaw Square and others in the downtown area. The owners are very friendly, hard-working people who always treat my wife and I like royalty and make sure that all of our needs are met whenever we stay with them or have friends and family rent from them when they are in town. All of their rental units I've spent time in are tastefully furnished and come outfitted with only the best accessories. The kitchens are outfitted with Viking appliances and fully equipped to start cooking the moment you check in. Real hardwood floors and paneling are among the many luxury features of the properties I've visited. They have a variety of rental plans and they've always worked with me to tailor lease agreements based on my wife and I's individual needs. Most, if not all, of their rental properties come with WiFi Internet access, cable TV and other amenities available in the lease package. In addition, they employ a cleaning, maintenance and IT staff to help support them in keeping their properties running at peak effectiveness and cleanliness. They are a real class act!

I thought it was a museum, which it kind of is. Our room was on the ground floor behind the main mansion. We arrived in the evening so they left us information on how to get into our room. The room was big and stunning. I loved the wood floors and everything inside the room. Everything was spotless. The beds were two queens and they were very comfortable. In the morning we went to the mansion for breakfast. The hosts were extremely friendly and made us feel at home while they cooked us some fresh eggs. The price was very reasonable and this was way better than staying at a hotel, it just was way more relaxing. I highly recommend the Lookaway Inn!

When I say they thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable , I Mean everything . The historic charm of Aiken is carried throughout the home with an updated style sure to make every visitors stay feel like a retreat! When we arrived, we were greeted with a huge hello and smile by the host and given a tour of the home. I already felt at home ! The tour lead us through the beautifully decorated living rooms to the bed rooms that were filled with everything from snacks to cold drinks in the fridge to a Nespresso machine. The immaculate bathrooms have every amenity you could possibly think of with a five star hotel feel. Best of the best of everything from the hand soap to the professional grade blow dryer . Oh and if you are a TV watcher, no worries. Each room has a large TV! As the tour continued to the rear of the home, we walked past a "reading nook or meditation room " and through the "workout room" which opens up to a beautiful back porch that overlooks a beautiful in ground swimming pool . The deck is huge with a lot of comfortable seating and table top fire pit. This is where we enjoyed the "charcuterie and wine hour "after we enjoyed a polar plunge in the salt water pool.
