This moment was pretty cool for me, and I was so glad to make a quick visit here at Kiwanis…read moreWaterfall Garden. I was actually spending 1 month driving through every Canadian province and now stopping in the beautiful city of Regina, Saskatchewan...I noticed this park on Google Maps located right in the center of it all. And what really initially attracted me towards making the effort to stop by was "waterfall". I thought in my head, "waterfall garden"? Absolutely. Who doesn't love waterfalls! Viewing pictures online, I thought it'd be worthwhile to see what this place was all about. First off, I'm surprised no Yelpers out there have written a review about Kiwanis Waterfall Garden?! Here Regina is, a terrific looking city with an amazing skyline full of skyscraper buildings. You'd think people would recognize and hold in high regard a park that's easily accessible to downtown. Oh well, I'm happy to be writing about it, lol. Parking is free. There was a small lot that had spaces available for 4:30pm in the middle of June. There was a paved walking pathway that led straight to the center of the garden where the falls are situated. It's nothing impressive, just a little manmade waterfall that empties into a pool. You can definitely throw some change in the waters like a wishing well. The waterfall had steps to climb above and around it. Surrounding the waterfall pool was spacious grass for sitting down and taking it easy. The setting was calming and ideal for making a picnic. There were a few people strolling the grounds. But overall, it was quiet and in my opinion, the park was a worthwhile way to be transported from the city aspects of Regina. The cement pathway extended further past the waterfall. So, you can continue exploring and appreciating the surroundings. There were colorful flowers planted along the sidewalk. Overall, the park was well maintained and it felt like a hidden gem getaway spot to relax, especially in summertime when the weather is pleasant. In the end, Kiwanis Waterfall Garden was a fun highlight while visiting Regina. Thanks for having me.
