Such a great rink. Classic! One of best rinks I've been to. We are so lucky to live near here.

I love this rink! Thank you for all you do for the community! Ask Pete to sharpen your skates if you have your own skates!

Excellent roller skating rink in the Catskills! You can rent quad skates or bring your own (quads…read moreor inlines). Why aren't there more places like this? +'s: Large wood skating area with music/lights, GREAT place for kids parties (skating games and horse races), Snack bar, Friendly staff, History (family owned and operated since 1940!!) -'s: My sore hip the next day. Falling sucks.

To start.... they are cash only. Kinda inconvenient to the customer. I left and found and ATM only because the kids were dying to skate. I asked about if there's any plans for merchant services in the future so I can return without having to pay an ATM fee. They acted insulted and told me absolutely not there is no need for it. I was a little confused cause of how inconvenient it was for me. The customer. The one who pays. But ok. Then we rent the skates and walk in. To say this place is falling apart is an understatement. The ceilings are falling down and appear to have black mold in ten corner. There were two buckets hanging from the ceiling to collect water from rainfall. Under the bucket the floor was a wet puddle and warped from it happening over time. All the paint is chipping. It smelled horrendous. Maybe some credit card scanners wouldn't kill you to allow more customers through the door to fix this place up. To say the least. We will NEVER return. I made that clear to the kiddos. Never.

Sadly disappointed. It seems adult public skating has been pushed to only weekends, with children…read moreincluded, which can be daunting to some seniors. Weekdays seem to be set aside for freestyle -- meaning you if pay for lessons you can also pay for ice time sessions during the week. Lessons for children start at about $25 per half hour and up. As an adult pre-covid, I paid $50 per half hour for a 6-week session and learned very little. Freestyle sessions are about $18 per hour. Although an incredibly healthy and wonderful sport for adults, it seems too challenging to actually attend on a regular basis during the week, especially if you just want to skate without paying for the additional cost of lessons. I'll have to dust off my roller skates and hit the rail trails and hope, that one day, they'll become more senior friendly in their schedule.

Basically the staff continued to tell me I needed to register first before I could purchase ice time. They ended the statements with "okay" that was followed by a long pause. I called twice to no avail. No one was helpful at all. They also didn't say you could just pay in person. If they did, I would have just showed up and dealt with the poor customer service face to face. The website was even more difficult to navigate and I learned you have to log out and log back in after registration to be able to see actual ice times. It was not user friendly but maybe I am just old. The facility was over crowded, staff sent me to the counter to check in and the counter sent me to a separate desk as I didn't need to register but rather pick up my wrist band. If the staff listened I wouldn't have waited on the long line when I didn't need to and then be sent to a different line for a wrist band. The bathroom was disgusting. There was spit dripping off the faucet and some kind of something gross in the other sink. I was pretty sure the bathroom was a hepatitis breeding ground. Getting on the ice was even worse, staff stopped me every single time to make me to show my wristband when I had a child that was having difficulty getting his balance. I get it's policy but let us get our footing before crawling down our backs to show our bands. Also, if you need the child skate supports, you need to purchase them for $3 at the desk all the way in front. No one tells you that until you get to the ice and ask for one. And if you dare to put it to the side to tie a skate or attempt to huge your child skate on their own, people are savage and steal it. Really not the family fun I would have wanted, more like an episode of Survivor: Ice Time.
