They told me it would take 2 hours to do and I would be out of there by noon. I drove from 3 hours away. Left my house at 5 in the morning. Got there took the cover off my boat and unhooked it. When I came back around noon they said it would still be a little bit. After sitting in my truck for another couple hours I went in to ask about it. Kept getting the run around. I was finally able to leave at 515 when they closed. They brought my boat out and didn't even clean the algae and scum off of it after pulling it out of the water. Then I look down the side of the boat and a huge scuff mark from hitting up against the dock. So the owner cleaned that rub mark off about 6 ft long. Then they locked up the doors and left didn't even offer to help me put my cover back on the boat. When putting the cover back on I realized why. There was grease all over my seadeck on the back platform. Then when I got inside the boat there was a chip out of my floor gel coat and random cuts in the main piece of seadeck. Also grease from dirty mechanic shoes inside the boat and the battery box covers were left off as well. I took the boat in on sept 11th 2025 and this review I'm finally leaving on Nov 7th 2025. After going back and forth with numerous phone calls that were never returned and text messages left unanswered. I was originally apologized too from the owner and he said he would get it all taken care of for me now the last message he sent me stated there was no way his mechanics caused the damage to my boat and when I responded I never got a response from him. I just simply wanted the damage to be fixed but now I guess I will be more money out of pocket to fix the damage caused by the neglect to my boat by their service team. I just purchased the boat and it had 190 hours on it and was still in like new condition. 2022 Mastercraft nxt24. I have never been ran around so much by a small business owner. He blames it on loosing his service manager. Just nothing but excuses from him. I have gave him more than enough time to remedy this situation and have gotten no where with it. Im honestly surprised my warranty got transferred through ilmor and mastercraft. I made sure to call and verify those things. Also you think that when I called to setup the appt and told him I was 3 hours away and that he was the closest mastercraft dealer to me that he would have looked up any recalls or warranty issues with my boat so we could get those taken care of while I was there also. I learned when I was there that my surf system tab sensors have a replacement for them. They didn't have them in stock so I couldn't get the work done while the boat was there. Now I have to find a different dealership to take the boat to and get this issue resolved. Nothing but bad business. I'm assuming he won't be around very much longer with how he conducts himself. I'm uploading photos and screen shots of messages as well to this review for proof. So disappointed....

And this year, they canceled on us due to high water from storms and REFUSED to refund us our money because we didn't purchase the "cancellation policy". But WE didn't cancel, THEY canceled on us due to weather. They kept 100% of our money for a trip we don't even get to take. Disgusting. They were incredibly rude about the situation, and putting the burden of uncertainty on the customer is a scummy practice. Basically told them they can make things right and refund our money and we will remain returning customers as we have been, and they told us to pound sand. Never EVER going here again, and I highly recommend using literally any other company than these slimy weasels.

The…read moretour takes you along the beautiful Wisconsin River where you can see the famous rock formations of the Wisconsin Dells. Pictures really don't do it justice -- the cliffs and sandstone formations are much more impressive in person. The tour is about 2 hours long and includes two stops where you get off the boat to explore. One stop is at Witches Gulch where you walk through a narrow, mossy canyon that feels almost magical, and the other is Stand Rock where you can see one of the Dells' most famous rock formations up close. The guides did a great job sharing the history of the area, including how parts of the Dells were preserved from developers, which is why the scenery still looks so natural today. Overall it was a really relaxing and enjoyable tour. The views, the history, and being out on the river made it well worth it. Definitely recommend if you're visiting the Dells!

The boat ride itself was very enjoyable, and the captain, narrator, and his wife were all knowledgeable, entertaining, and made the trip fun from start to finish. Witch's Gulch was absolutely beautiful. The towering rock formations, lush vegetation, and narrow walkways made it one of the highlights of our trip. My only wish is that I could have experienced it with fewer people, as the crowds took away a bit of the peaceful atmosphere. The biggest drawback for me was how commercialized the experience felt. After walking through this stunning natural area, you arrive at a concession stand and gift shop, which made the experience feel less immersive and, in my opinion, diminished some of the area's natural beauty. I also noticed quite a bit of trash floating in the water near where the boats dock, which was disappointing to see in such a scenic location. I would have loved to see the tour place more emphasis on the area's natural history and its Native American heritage rather than the commercial aspects of the attraction. Fortunately, the second landing on the tour felt much more natural and less developed, and it was every bit as beautiful. Overall, the scenery alone makes the Upper Dells Boat Tour worth taking. While I wish the experience focused more on preserving the natural character of the area, Witch's Gulch is a remarkable place that I'm glad we had the opportunity to see. We also took a Duck Boat tour as a family while visiting the Wisconsin Dells, and it was a fun experience for both adults and kids. Our driver was friendly, funny, and did a great job keeping everyone entertained throughout the tour. The combination of traveling on both land and water made the experience unique, and our children especially loved the transition from road to river. The narration was enjoyable, with a good mix of local history, interesting facts, and humor that kept the ride engaging from start to finish. There were only a couple of aspects that took away from the experience. Just before returning to the ticket area, the tour paused for a presentation about the history of flooding in the Dells that transitioned into a sales pitch for souvenir booklets and a request for tips. We understand that this likely wasn't the guide's decision, but it felt a little out of place and interrupted the otherwise enjoyable flow of the tour. We also weren't particularly fond of the mandatory photo opportunity before boarding. While it's easy enough to decline purchasing the photo, it did make the beginning of the experience feel a bit more commercialized than we expected. Overall, though, the Duck Boat tour was a fun and memorable family activity. The guide was excellent, the scenery was beautiful, and it's an experience we'd recommend to families visiting the Wisconsin Dells.

We got to see a two-headed snake, so many gators, and the biggest snakes we've ever seen. He had been watching science-related videos, reading books, talking alligators and crocs nonstop. We were planning a mini father son trip and I wasn't sure where to go, when to my surprise I saw that Wis Dells had an alligator place! So we actually headed up there from NW Chicagoland for Alligators first...and boy this did not disappoint. The place was surprisingly very clean and not smelly at all--I had a college roommate who bought an old Used car that had a garter snake in it and he kept it and boy did it smell...so this is no small feat to keep it clean with this many reptiles. It was the first thing we did in Wis Dells and my son was there a good couple of hours (entrance was about $20 for us to visit and then you can buy food to feed -- meat packets were very reasonably priced), and also feed alligators, pythons, snapping turtles, alligator snapping turtles, caimans live mice and/or rats depending what the animals needed that day. Thankfully the owners -- lovely people who have been there nearly 30 years -- feed the live animals we don't have to touch them. I'll admit that left me a little squirmish but my son was in heaven. We were there about 2 hours (most folks I imagine last about 30 mins) and my son was really excited to see the animals -- behind closed glass tanks. They have 14 or so gators in the big tank right as you walk in, have an albino alligator (large one too) in a separate tank behind. Several pythons- including a jumbo yellow scary python and one a little smaller next to it. They have turtles, some smaller snakes, and some toads etc in other cages.... I figured we saw all we could ever see that first 2 hours as it isn't the biggest place, but my son really wanted to go back before we left, so we went back 2 days later and I don't know how we missed it on day 1, but they had a photo opportunity to hold an alligator (its mouth is taped for safety) and that was the thrill of my sons life! He's been telling everyone about that post our visit. Overall it was impressive how clean and not smelly the place is, showing the care the handlers/owners take to these animals. One bit of advice, while they have some very brief blurbs on some (not all) of the animals, I'd recommend adding more complete blurbs in the animals like a traditional zoo would. They also have an opportunity to buy alligators (which presumably is legal in Wisconsin) and that is something I'd never recommend -- Thankfully they aren't cheap so kids likely couldn't do that without a parent being involved:). All in all across 2 visits we were there 3.5 or so hours and my son had the absolute best time of his life. I can't thank them enough and they were super great to him answering his questions, etc (especially since on the second visit they were pretty darn crowded but they gave my so. Extra special treatment :) ). A wonderful experience-- and a reminder of the things we parents do for our kids lol - as Id never be there if it was t for my son, let alone be there twice! We will be back too next time we go to the Dells (I hadn't been to the Dells in over 20 years--first time as an adult, and I hadn't a great time, but this was amongst our biggest highlight of the trip)
