Phenomenal customer service. My earring holes appeared to have closed up during the pandemic, when I wasn't going out and subsequently wasn't putting on jewelry, and I finally made it down here to get my ears re-pierced. The piercer let me know that he thought he would be able to get them reopened without having to re-pierce, since he had some equipment that was much smaller than the average earring, and he was indeed able to do so and charged me much less to get my holes open again than it would have cost to re-pierce. I am presently sitting in the waiting room while a friend of mine gets some new jewelry put in, and I am once again reminded how incredibly warm and thoughtful and thorough the staff is. The person behind the counter did such a wonderful job. Patiently explaining options to my friend and to a couple of young girls and their mother. The jewelry here isn't inexpensive, but when it comes to permanent bodily alterations, you don't want to skimp out. read more

Great for kids. Loved that my daughter was "the boss". They explained the process and every step to her clearly & simply. They pierced both her ears at the same time, which was great. I can't say enough how good they are with kids. The jewelry is high quality. Plan on at least an hour & $100+. We were the 1st ppl at the shop. The line behind us grew quickly. After care is important. I get that. I could've used less of the repeating and repeating and repeating: not to touch, not to swim, do not change jewelry, etc. It's been about a month & she's healed w/o any swelling, redness, oozing, etc. She's still super excited to show off her earrings & loving them. Not my favorite that we have to return to the store when it comes time to change out jewelry. However, the shop is head & shoulders above the turn & burn service and cheap jewelry that you would get at Crossroads Mall. It is beyond apparent they care about my little person's wellbeing at Kitten Flower. That makes it worth the extra $$ for me. read more

Whoever pierced my girlfriend needs some lessons an stop giving lessons, she got her eyebrow pierced an the bar was wayyy to small, there's no room for swelling an the balls are going into her skin. I got my septum done here in July, and got my belly button pierced with them in November. Both experiences were absolutely amazing!! This is the only place I go to get pierced now (especially because they fixed what another shop messed up for me) and Ava (the very sweet front counter person) has been so kind and welcoming every time I go, I seriously love Kitten Flower! read more

I went to Kitten Flower for a new nose ring and ended up getting 2 more piercings! I loved everything about this place. The rainbow and trans flags, the staff and owner, the jewelry selection. Everything. The piercer (Trevor) was so nice and although I have had piercings before; Trevor was calm and explained everything that was going to happen step by step. The space was clean and my piercings are healing nicely! It is so nice to go to a place that takes care of their customers. ** I will note a tip: the owner makes jewelry so if you are looking for something nice! Definitely check it out! I thought that was kind of cool! read more

I went to get my septum pierced and the owner was acting very rude to his employe the whole time I was there. Talking shit about him while I'm getting my nose pierced may I add. When I first walked in and he was sitting on the couch like it was his house I thought the worker at the counter was the owner because he was acting way more professional. And while I was getting my nose pierced he was talking about how girls hit on him and he kept boasting about that for a good minute then he goes on to say how he's teach this Vietnamese girl over zoom how to pierce, which made me even more uncomfortable than I already was then he goes to say how Asian noses are so tiny and he kept talking on and on about it. Over all this whole experience made me very uncomfortable I'll never be coming back and I feel so sorry for the employe bc he was super nice. read more

I have been multiple times for piercings and jewelry exchange. I have only encountered professionalism and cleanliness. The staff is always kind and knowledgeable. There are many options and the wait is never too long. I can't wait to get another piercing by Kitten Flower! read more

Girl at the front desk was very rude. I took my daughter there and she would completely ignore me and only talk to my daughter. Even when I would ask a question- she would not look at me when replying and only look at my daughter who was sitting all the way in sofa while I am standing right in front of her Extremely rude, disrespectful and she needs lots of more training read more

Recently came here for a piercing with a friend. The owner was very demeaning and seemingly annoyed to be there. He went on rants with each person being pierced which resulted in each piercing taking about 30 minutes. He told me that he drove back from Colorado and walked in the door directly after, emphasizing that he hadn't eaten or slept at all. Not very comforting to hear about someone who is about to pierce you. Again, was very demeaning and rude when I was getting pierced about placement and the general process. I've gotten over ten piercings and have never felt as uncomfortable as I did here. The owner kept exaggerating he was "sanitizing" things which he said was what was taking so long. When I got pierced, the paper towel and gauze he used was very wrinkled and did not look new. Also, I have never had the aftercare for a piercing be "rinse with water". I was told to literally just rinse the piercing with water. Please find somewhere else to get pierced. Long wait times as a direct result of staff not being focused, poor customer service, overpriced, and did not seem to be properly sanitized. read more

They completely messed up the angle of my nostril piercing. I got it pierced planning on getting a ring after the healing process, and even mentioned that to them. 1.5 years later I am not able to get a ring because the piercing is angled too far down. They were also very cold and rude during the whole process, and I have several friends who were made to feel extremely uncomfortable by the owner. read more

I've never been in a piercing (and /or) tattoo studio where the vibe was so completely "off." For reference, I got my first professional piercings almost 25 years ago, and I do actually know how this whole thing works. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I was more and more put off by the place the longer I was there and ended up not buying anything. While I didn't look at every single item, what I saw wasn't what you'd really call custom, just good quality catalog-grade merchandise. That's fine, but the staff gave off a pretty annoying self-importance and after just a few interactions I decided to leave. I know how professionals act toward clients, and how counter staff should handle themselves. My message to this group would be to stop acting like you invented piercing. Actual professionals have a solid but welcoming confidence and don't need to feel like they're superior to their clientele. read more

I really never leave reviews but this place is exceptional. The staff was super knowledgeable, professional, and the whole experience went smoother than I could've hoped read more

Hands down the best place in Kalamazoo to get your piercings especially for kids. My 6 year old has been begging to get her ears pierced and I have wanted to wait until she could consent to do so. Both of my ear piercings were done years ago with a gun. After getting a navel piercing in college by a professional piercer I knew I would never go to a Claire's type place for a piercings again. So finding a place with professional piercers was important to me. From start to finish the process was amazing and a very positive experience for my daughter. Zack and Trevor made sure to explain the entire process to my daughter and multiple times explained she could say no at any point. Zack took the necessary time to make sure placement was perfect. Her ears were pierced simultaneously and she did not cry at all. My daughter is so happy to have her ears pierced and I am relieved at what a positive experience it was for us. read more

Great place to get a piercing! Just got one done here and they did a wonderful job and have great costumer service. We did have to wait outside for 35 minutes because of covid restrictions and only being able to have a certain amount of people in the building at once. But overall great experience. read more

the rumors are true about this place. The taller man who worked with me had a visible boner the whole time he helped me and wouldn't let me leave by constantly talking to me. I was incredibly uncomfortable. I know many other girls that have complained about the creepy staff and have been warned not to come here, but I tried it anyways. If you are a women, be warned that the staff will make you uncomfortable and bring your male friends. great jewelry, but the icky feeling I have leaving this place is not worth it. read more

Really great piercing shop. The jewelry selection is huge and the staff is so helpful and kind. The shop is extremely clean and professional. My piercer was very thorough and communicated every step along the way so I knew exactly what was about to happen. Compared to other piercings I've had the prices here were very fair for piercings and jewelry. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. Only come here if you hate happiness and want to be lied to. Not only did the owner and the counter person talk down to me, interrupt me when I had questions and flat out told me I didn't know what I was talking about - but I asked for internally threaded titanium because that's what I'm comfortable with. Today I took them out for the first time and much to my surprise he pierced me with push/pull and not threaded at all. I will NEVER recommend this shithole to anyone. There is a BIG difference between explaining best practices to clients and just telling them "you just worry about picking out something pretty. Don't worry about anything else". read more

Poor experience. The owner is unprofessional and constantly complains to his clients, mostly about other customers. He makes his clients feel stupid and intimidated when they ask questions about the piercing process. Definitely never going back there again. read more

After waiting outside for the business to open, a condescending man named Trevor sold me a very expensive broken earring for my son who was not present. He proceeded to tell me that only professionally trained piercers should put earrings in and continued to tell me (several times) that he is indeed a professional. When I called to ask about a replacement for the broken price, I was given the lecture about professionalism once again and told that "sometimes life is hard". Trevor might be a trained professional piercer but I am trained in spotting BS and this man was full of it. A tip from me: Spend your money elsewhere. read more

Super friendly, beautiful jewelry and super sterile piercing environment!! 10/10 would recommend

Came for a birthday piercing for my child. On the website it clearly says able to accommodate drop ins. We were told that, no drop ins for 8 and under (opposite of what it says on the website) and then that we can only make an appointment the week of the appointment but not on the same day. Also that there would be no swimming or baths for 6 months. It was very obvious that they do not want our business. Therefore we will be looking at another professional piercing parlor. read more

This place was clean and most of the staff was super friendly. I got my piercing from Jess and she was super sweet and walked me through the whole process so I wasn't surprised. They were super careful with all their sanitization which I appreciated. The one downside was that the jewelry was super expensive. My belly piercing plus actually getting pierced totaled out to $143 which was way more expensive then what I was told on the phone. My friend asked how much nipple rings cost and the lady told her it was $150 for two which had us kind of shocked. Overall they were nice and it was a good experience but I wouldn't see myself going back due to the price! read more

The only place I get pierced. These guys are very sweet and talk you through everything. They help find the jewelry that will fit your body right and they know what they are talking about. Some think it is too expensive, but you get exactly what you pay for which is high quality and doesn't fall out and doesn't get infected if you clean it right/don't touch it. Thanks guys!!! read more

Very high end jewelry, beautiful stuff! Very kind staff and piercers, very informative as well with any questions I had. It is a little on the high end of price, but you are definitely paying for quality and expertise. read more

This place was very clean and the staff was friendly. However, Online they list piercing prices as 30$ for three plus cost of jewelry. You must use there jewelry. I was quoted over 130$ for two Helix piercings with the smallest studs. I was very appreciative that they provided the quote before hand. read more

We stopped in today for a re-piercing my daughter needed. She was nervous based on her experience with the original piercing over the last year. (An infection started behind the ear and she had to have it drained and then two outpatient surgeries which resulted in removing the earring). I was very disappointed at how impatient they were being when she got nervous. Even went so far as to time her and mention that it had been six minutes (which it didn't seem like it had been). He had no problem going on and on about his music and what he likes to play and listen to. But when she needed a moment to calm herself he acted annoyed and very rude! They are a reputable business but I won't be taking my other kids in for piercings when they are ready. No patience and as a parent you don't want your kids to be scared and have that memory stick with them. read more

The Grandrapids location was great. However, the location in Kalamazoo was over priced and the piercer, who is also the owner, was very condescending. He acted like any questions I asked were obvious and stupid, and did nothing to ease the nerves that come with getting a new piercing. Three of my friends have had similar experiences, along with one of my coworkers. On top of the rudeness and arrogance, both the man behind the counter and the piercer came off as creepy, and appeared to be flirting with some of their customers. However, on this, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was simply their attempt at being friendly. Overall, this was an extremely unpleasant experience that I would not recommend to anyone. read more

The costumer service of the two men working the Kalamazoo location was lacking. My piercer told me my name was unoriginal and awkwardly bragged about how his name gave him a "skater boy" vibe. When I told him I was only asking questions because I trusted his opinion, as he acted I was stupid for every question I asked, he told me "it isn't an opinion, it's fact." Overall, my experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Though I have no complaints on my actual piercing, I could not recommend this business. read more

I highly recommend going to kitten flower boutique for any of your piercings! They have a comfortable environment. They are located in a nice spot and they have a new modern building! I have been downtown but have never noticed them!! I was very nervous to get my cartilage pierced and they made me feel very relaxed! It's all sanitary and their jewelry is nice and handmade ( a little pricey ) The piercing barley hurt and the staff is very friendly!! i'm so happy with the outcome!! definitely stop by if you want new jewelry or a piercing! read more

i've gotten three piercings here so far, and i love them! i genuinely recommend this shop to absolutely anyone, it's family friendly and always spotless. i've never had any issues here, nothing but an amazing experience. the staff is absolutely wonderful and so helpful! like seriously this place is great. and with covid circumstances, they have definitely met the standard. the jewelry selection is huge, and pretty affordable for the quality of the pieces. 10/10! read more

When a specialty piercing "boutique" can't get it right it's time to close the doors. (Just give it time) Why is it they waste gloves handing items that need to be sterilized anyways?? Save your self from disappointment go elsewhere. I recommend a drive to Ann Arbor and go to Pangea!! read more

Very friendly staff who are very informative! Tons of selections for jewelry & the piercing process is is professional.

i got my second earlobe piercing here a few weeks ago and they did any amazing job! the staff was very welcoming. thank you!

They will give you more reasons as a refusal to pierce you than to actually pierce you. 2nd time driving over an hour to get pierced by this shop and having the same result after initially having a great experience. Don't waste your time. Very arrogant "managers" that are very demeaning towards you. They will spend 5 minutes talking your ear off about how qualified they are to pierce you but won't actually do it. read more

Great selection and very friendly staff. I needed some new caps for my posts after I lost one, and they sized them and bent them so that the new ones wouldn't fall out. I don't live in the area anymore, but if I did I'd frequent them for new jewelry. read more

The jewelry is lovely, but I can not say the same for the people who work there. Went in to get a helix, or double if possible, and was told that my ears "wouldn't work with a helix." I already had a healed helix at the time and every other piercer I have spoken with has said that they didn't know what the kitten flower people were talking about. Additionally, I have always gotten an uppity vibe from them. Not a welcoming environment when you are trying to get pierced. Will not be going their for piercing again. read more
