From the beginning Patrick was happy to listen to what we wanted in our kitchen and used his expertise to make sure it all happened. The kitchen has a bay window which presented problems for other designers though not Patrick who listened to us and made it all work with no space left unused. Even the drawers use every possible space unlike some other designs. Everything that we needed to put in drawers and cupboards were measured and the dimensions provided to Patrick and then those measurements were then used to produce the most amazing kitchen so that everything fitted perfectly without wasted space. We were able to see our new kitchen laid out in the workshop prior to the installation so we were reassured that what was about to be installed was what we wanted. The installation was amazing to see as everything is delivered in pieces then the installer starts from the bottom up and works his way thru it all. Ours took about a week from start to finish and the wait was truly worth it. Magic Kitchens really live up to their name. Check out their website and also Patrick's 10 top tips as we used most of them to ensure that what we purchased was the best. After 7 years we had a few minor issues that they were more than happy to rectify for us. It helps when the you buy from Magic as it is a long standing family business. A year after the kitchen we were back for a vanity for an ensuite. Once again custom built to suit what we wanted to fit in it. It is still looking as good as the day we had it installed and so is the kitchen.

I cannot recommend Complete Kitchens. Our experience was marred by a critical design flaw that…read morerendered our new kitchen essentially unusable. The layout meant the fridge door could only open to 85 degrees. Worse, with the adjacent pocket door open, the fridge handle collided with the pocket door handle, risking immediate damage and preventing full use of the fridge drawers. At 85 degrees, the fridge was not functional. Despite providing all appliance specifications when requested, including fridge dimensions, Complete Kitchens failed to ensure the design allowed the fridge to operate as intended. This was particularly frustrating given we had clearly stated that functionality for a family of five adults was our top priority, followed by aesthetics, especially important in our open, plan living area. When we raised concerns, Complete Kitchens refused to accept this as a design issue. In my opinion, Director Alex was particularly difficult to deal with: he was dismissive, repeatedly bypassed our questions, and offered the same inadequate response each time "if you want to open the fridge door, just shut the pocket door first. " No effort was made to explore practical solutions, and he showed no willingness to engage meaningfully with the problem. I felt his tone throughout was condescending and rude. We independently investigated alternative door configurations, none of which resolved the issue due to the height of the cupboard, not something that was discussed as potentially problematic earlier in the design phase. Complete Kitchens' only suggestion was a costly and invasive fix: to cut into the freshly painted, load-bearing wall, move studs, and engage structural engineers, all at our own expense. There was no indication in the original drawings that the pocket pantry door would protrude 154mm beyond the bench when open, nor any warning that it would interfere with fridge functionality. When we questioned the visual impact during a site visit, we were told it would be "hardly noticeable", but the functional impact was never raised. We spent several weeks without a functioning kitchen while Complete Kitchens delayed. Eventually, we redesigned the area ourselves, making several intentional changes to maintain the appliance space but split the height with more appropriately sized shelves and cupboards. This redesign added $8,000 to the original cost. Complete Kitchens not only delivered a flawed design but also failed to take accountability and respond professionally when we raised legitimate concerns. We were left to fix their oversight at significant cost. We were also deeply unsettled by the confrontational communication we experienced. It became clear to me why Alex is not involved in the initial client engagement process. Buyer Beware!

Moss sells everything from cushions to aromatic oils to burn in the home, plus furniture and a whole lot more. Everything is designer made - Not in the flashy, high end name way, but of the independent smaller designer varietal, and all of their stock seem to have been chosen for both their design and quality -which is nice, because in some places, it is one or the other. I bought some fabulous feature cushions, and some gorgeous bowls that on my wage I probably shouldve thought twice about. Oh well. When Im too broke to go out because of my purchases, I can prop up on my cushions, and eat a bowl of ice cream instead! My one complaint (other than my empty bank account) was that service was very average. I wasnt approached at all for the first ten minutes in the store, because the sales people were busy chatting. Neither said anything until I approached them at the counter to ask a question, and make my purchase. Perhaps they thought my cushion buying was inadequate, or maybe just didnt notice me. Either way, not the best experience in the world. Luckily they have super cute things to sell- and the three stars is only because of the product, NOT the service.

Some of the pieces are extremely tacky and some are extremely classy. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They do make a number of replica products that are remakes of classic furniture designs across the years. This means you can get classical designs for cheaper than otherwise. They do specify that these products are not affiliated with the original designers whatsoever but still make for very interesting pieces and designs. You could easily spend a couple of hours here deciding on what suits and there are pieces to suit a number of different budgets.

Doug and Dane were very friendly, very competent, always cleaned up, took their time to do things properly, answered all questions, and did an excellent job. They needed to rebuild some of the brickwork on the house that had been damaged by the other builders work. So they took some bricks from the garage wall and installed a window in its place so that the bricks on the house all matched. Brilliant idea!!! And a bonus of extra light into the garage. I would certainly engage them again for work in the future.
