Really cool place. Really cool employees. Really cool products. I could probably stop my review there but...nah. Found this place on Yelp, of course and it was really easy to find and there was even a parking space waiting for me right in front. They have the typical smoke store finds like incense and tobacco wrapping papers. They also have lots of cool glass bowls, pipes and vaporizers. I asked about hookah tips and while they don't sell hookah attachments, one of the guys told me where I could them. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the guy's name who worked there but he was super friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Awesome customer service and pretty decent pricing is a great combo! Despite its name, Kitsch is less kitschy than Curious Goods, but seems to be a much more serious glass distributor. Not only will you find beautiful, locally blown glass here, as well as crazy high-end stuff that may impress the editors of High Times. They do have your basic tee shirts and incense and gifts and trinkets that you'd expect to see in a tobacco shop. The prices are pretty average; I didn't notice any sales. I hear that their annual 4/20 sale is pretty rock 'em, sock 'em, but Easter isn't till this weekend, and guess what I gave up for Lent? That's right. TOBACCO. Maybe next year! The staff are friendly and accommodating; as you'd expect, very chill. They'll answer any questions you have and be attentive while doing it, but they'll also give you your space to browse. read more

Interesting spot. We used to call this a head shop but I don't think businesses want us to call them that anymore, though my fellow reviewers are being pretty clear about what's up. That said, this is a clean, well-lighted place for glass pipes and they've got some nice ones along with an array of interesting carrying cases. Incense, t-shirts and other items round out the assortment with a professional staff to top it off. I'm struggling with this star system. If I was rating it on glass pipes and accessories I'd give it a full 5 stars. Since the other items feel appropriate but not so interesting and somehow tacked on, I'm giving it a 4 star rating. Either way, you know by now whether or not this is your kind of thing and, if it is, Kitsch is definitely worth a look-see. read more

Very good selection and typically friendly staff. Glass pieces are typically at retail price for the exception of the 4/20 annual sale (which makes one wonder how much profit margin is being made during the regular sales day). Vaporizors are priced at the suggested retail price. I would recommend doing some web shopping instead unless you must have one today. Excellent supply of diamond grinders, storage, scales and other items. This location is popular and convenient with the college crowd. Parking can be a challenge depending on what time you go. read more

I found this spot on Yelp and I'm very happy I stopped by! Tobacco/head shops are unfamiliar territory for me, so admittedly I was unsure what to expect when I walked in. Didn't even really know what to ask for....but knew I didnt want to leave empty handed! The guys working here were very helpful, really chill, and made me feel super comfortable. A lot of the products here are made locally and the customer service is just phenomenal. Looking forward to coming back. read more

I'm giving this place for stars because they have a fairly impressive selection of glass water and other pipes. They do not carry hookahs, which is sad. The two gentlemen behind the counter were helpful and attentive, yet allowed me space to browse. I would recommend this place, even if it's just to see something interesting. read more

I couldn't resist the name; a place like Kitsch had to be filled with all manner of trinkets and gewgaws to put me into a wide-eyed, child-like state of glee. Turns out to be partially true; the place is basically a head shop plus. It has all your tobacco *cough* needs and some clever t-shirts/accessories. It's a fun place to browse if you need a tobacco *cough cough* water pipe or a grinder that looks like a soda can, etc. The staff is friendly and helpful and chatty so long as you don't use any forbidden words (when I was there some chemistry-inclined customers got the heave-ho for talking about THC's vaporisation point). read more

Looking at the other reviews, the common denominator is customer service. I totally agree. I apologize because I wish I had gotten the gentlemen's name that helped me. He was showing me the newest and most advanced portable vaporizers. He never tried to push a sale, and even encouraged me to go home and read all of the reviews online. He was willing to take each one out and show me how they worked. Excellent selection of quality glass. I would consider this a high-end store for this type of market. Great job guys. **Highly recommended** The guys here will take good care of you and make sure you get just the product you're looking for, even if they don't have it in stock. All you have to do is take the time to talk to these guys and you'll see they are friendly and knowledgeable on all of their inventory. I personally have been going here since they first opened years ago and have always found them to have the highest quality merchandise around the RTP area. This is the best smoke shop in the Triangle. They have a great selection and the staff is really knowledgeable and helpful. Everything is also fairly priced and actually less expensive than you would expect. Their selection is great, particularly their glass. They support North Carolina glass blowing artists which I think is awesome. I've shopped around and these guys are the best. Don't bother going to Chapel Hill. (Bring quarters to park). read more

First let me start of by saying I am totally new to tobacco shops. I went in to Kitsch to buy a housewarming gift for an avid smoker after reading great reviews. So I knew absolutely NOTHING about tobacco accessories. The staff here truly have the patience of Job! I spent almost 2 hours...yes 2, asking questions, viewing pipes and getting their opinions. Never once did I feel rushed or like an annoyance. I felt like these guys knew exactly what they were talking about. They were very attentive and well versed in their items. Once they helped me finally chose a gift, they wrapped it carefully and placed it in a box so it was protected during shipping. It was like shopping at Nordstrom without the sticker shock!
