I travel a lot internationally and have had pedicures and manicures (mainly polygel) from salons all over the world. I just discovered Kitchen Nails and it is one of now one my favorites for many reasons. First the ambience is so warm and whimsical. The kitchen themed decor goes a long way to make the experience of getting your nails done comforting versus a chore. Secondly, Natalia was very conscientious about her work. She would frequently ask for my feedback to confirm if what she was doing met my approval. Considering that I don't live in Mexico and might not be a return customer soon, she treated me like I was her number one customer. Lastly, Natalia was a delightful person to talk with. Despite our differences in language (her English is much better than my Spanish) and age (my daughter is older than her and race we had the most pleasant conversation. What made this so significant is, on my way to get my nails done, a thief snatched my favorite necklace off my neck and sped away on a waiting motorcycle. Needless to say I was sad, scared and traumatized and almost canceled my appointment. But Natalia and the service she provided was just the balm that my spirt needed. read more

KN is clean, beautiful, carries normal prices, and has great staff. As soon as I came inside the store they offered me something to drink and started my appointment on time! Since the store is small I would recommend making an appointment because they fill up fast! They have plenty of colors to choose from, and the staff constantly check in with you to make sure your nails are going exactly how you like. Overall wonderful nail salon BUT they take a really really long time for the amount of work being done. I was there for over two hours for a gel manicure and a spa pedicure.... Don't come here in a rush. read more

KN is a really cute, posh place to treat yourself. After searching for somewhere to get my nails done while in GDL for the weekend, I decided to go here as they seemed to be the only place that does Dip Nails (if you look in the pictures on their Yelp page, it has Dip listed on the menu). I asked my boyfriend to make the appointment for me as his Spanish is better than mine and they instructed him that their Providencia location is the only one that does Dip Nails; therefore, he made my appointment at that location. When I showed up for my appointment, they told me that they do not do Dip Nails and therefore, I had to get Shellac (gelish) instead. To this day, I'm not sure which, if any location, does Dip Nails. I was disappointed but they had a great selection of Shellac colors to choose from so that didn't last long. I did the Spalogique Mani and Pedi which all together took about an hour and 15 minutes, as they worked on my hands and toes at the same time. I've had several mani's/pedi's done in Mexico but this one most resembled the experiences I'm used to getting in the US. They soak your nails, cut and push back cuticles, etc. They also have their KN branded scrubs, lotions, oils for each step of the process. Even their nail polishes are KN branded. It's also a nice touch that they hand whisk the bubbles in your pedicure spa. They do a nice job on blending in the kitchen concept. I ended paying much more than I would normally when getting my nails done in Mexico, but it was still a steal compared to American standards (~$43 USD for a Shellac Manicure/Pedicure). If you're looking for a cute, concept place to experience, I would recommend. If you just need the basic maintenance on your nails, you could probably find something more affordable. Misc. I love this place not only because it's cute but because they have great service. They are appointment based but they really try to fit you into an appointment if they can and they have normal prices. Monday's and Tuesday's they have combination deals but make sure you make an appointment because they fill up fast. They have courtesy drinks and their seating has outlets for your phone. The entire layout of the business is awesome and did I mention they have amazing customer service? I definitely recommend, I haven't gone to another nail salon that has their sweet attitudes :) read more
