They didn't communicate: I wouldn't hear anything from the designer for weeks until I would reach out to her; even an email to a third party that she said she sent actually hadn't been sent when I checked on it. 4. They kept missing things: I had to remind the designer multiple times to fix or change things in her designs.

We will not hire them again…read more First the good: cabinets, tile floor, tile backsplash, painting and electrical - good, no complaints - tile, cabinets and paint excellent. They did put us in touch with a master craftsman who did some custom barn doors for us. Their subs are good, and their cabinet guy is excellent. They did help out by making sure that Mercy House could take the appliances and cabinets that we had removed. The not so good: they missed under cabinet lighting even though it was on the work order; they insisted (!) on lighting in a pantry that we did not need and do not use (we gave up arguing with them) - and missed installing an outlet that we very much need in the pantry; we took things out of the overall job like installation of new sliding doors (they wanted to install what they wanted, and did not want to discuss it with us) and new smoke/monoxide detectors (again, did not want to work with us to get units placed where we wanted them, including in a room with a fireplace); overall, they were just difficult to work with. They broke our new stove on installation. They could not get it together to get it fixed. They hired an appliance repairman, but there were all sorts of problems with parts and the like. The repairman found additional problems with the initial installation to fix. The fix literally took weeks to accomplish. This was a major headache and inconvenience. Again, the workmanship is good, but working with them is just difficult. I should not have to struggle to get my preferences honored - it's my house and I am paying the bills. They have very specific ideas about suppliers/materials and were very resistant to using what we wanted. If you hire them, be prepared for bumps in the road.
