Like many people these days when you find yourself in a situation where you need a lawyer you're…read morenot only nervous about the situation but you're also nervous about finding a good lawyer that is knowledgeable and will not leave you needing a bankruptcy lawyer (LOL). I was referred to Mr. Clarke on a fb group and I'm so thankful I posted the question. The process was easy and he always made sure to explain the situation & possible next steps every step of the way. I never felt as though I didn't know what was going on or how long something would take. My divorce was uncontested and my ex and I split the attorney fee (which was Mr. Clarke's idea) which was another thing I didn't know was possible & a definite money saver. I highly recommend this law office for both contested or uncontested divorces if you're looking for someone who will represent your best interest & keep you in the know.

Going through a divorce is a scary, emotional process, but Robert's calm demeanor put my mind at ease. Along the way, he thoroughly explained every step of the process and cared about my opinions. He left no stone unturned in pursuit of a just outcome for my case and did so with the utmost integrity. I have retained Mr. Noe on other matters and have prevailed each time due to his expertise and knowledge. I have no doubt he does the same for each of his clients. Robert Noe is what more lawyers should strive to be.

I was recently asked by a family member for a referral for a divorce attorney, since I had used one…read morefor my own divorce. I immediately thought of Robert Noe. Mr. Noe was retained by me as my divorce attorney, after I fired a woman who was totally incompetent. I can honestly say that throughout the whole ordeal, he was always professional, and always had my back. One of the things I respected most about him was his composure. This was a very difficult and emotional time for me, and no matter in or out of the court room, he always remained professional. NEVER lost his cool...I had fired a previous attorney because she was not able to keep her emotions in check, and constantly fought with my ex in court, which was not only embarrassing for me, but totally unprofessional, and all it cost me was more headaches and more money for more court dates. Mr. Noe always told me how it was. He never sugar coated things or tried to build them up. He always prepared me for how it "could" go after a court hearing. Mr. Noe was in contact with me every step of the way, via email or phone. I never once felt like he was ignoring my calls or questions. If I needed him while he was in court, his assistant would notify me immediately and he would always contact me as soon as he was out of the court room. I remember he was involved in a serious accident during the time he was retained, and was hurt, but came into the office anyway on a Sunday to see me to make sure I was prepared for court on Monday. Personality wise... if you are looking for an attorney who is loud or obnoxious, I'd say you have the wrong guy. Mr. Noe is very professional and well spoken while getting his point across. I would prefer professional over obnoxious any day, and I can assure you the judge will too. Mr. Noe has no problem in the court room speaking up when he needs to, and always did it with respect. The judges Posner, and Pagones seemed to respect him in their court room as well during my proceedings. Lastly, I was extremely satisfied by the outcome of my divorce. My future was secure because he took the time to use a fine tooth comb while reviewing all documents to make sure I received all that I was entitled to. No regrets. Retaining an attorney is not cheap, unless both parties are willing to compromise. However, please keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Mr. Noe is an excellent choice!

I shared this perspective in person and reiterated it via email indicating to him I was not interested in tall stories or wild promises but sought integrity and guidance that would help me avoid chasing an impossible case. He assured me that this was a $5k-7,500 case and that we had a great chance of winning. As it turned out, this took a year out of my life and $17,000 of wasted money. There was zero legal standing at all for my position and the case, something that was clearly hinted to him in the first ex-parte meeting with the magistrate. But, it turns out Mr. Cillis withheld this information from me until the final court date almost 8 months later. I can only assume he did this to keep the money coming in as it certainly isn't appropriate legal behavior. Unfortunately, I found Mr. Cillis to not be honorable, forthright, nor acting in my best interest and I could only advise people to seek alternative counsel. A lesson I learned here is to make sure to put in writing what is being agreed to and exactly what you seek from the attorney. Get the attorney to sign off on that to protect yourself. I would even suggest recording your meetings with the attorney. Any attorney who balks at that is probably not forthright and honest.
