Listen to me and ignore the other reviews. I live 5 minutes away from this place and this is my go to spot for awesome food! This place gives pollo tropical a run for there money especially because it's fresh food and no lines! Make sure to add cheese to your order it's the missing ingredient, I promise!

    Mambo chop.

Overpriced and unsavory. I don't not suggest at all, $10 for the mambo, with "extra" chicken added doesn't even look like I got their normal portion of chicken, hardly any guacamole, and the saddest part that cost them literally Pennie's, is the yellow rice bed that didn't even cover the bottom of the plate. If I wanted a salad I would have gone to Panera for this. Cashier also charged two extra sauces as two extra toppings. So be careful when checking out.

Good healthy food at a great price. The employees are very friendly. Try to avoid the lunchtime rush this place really gets busy.

    Good deal for lunch

First time here. Impressed at the fresh grilled chicken, but it has no seasonings. Kinda bland. We got a south beach chop. Over all ok, but not near as good as pollo tropical which is where we usually go. $5.95 for a lunch special is a good price for what you get. The Chipotle sause helps add flavor. Good staff with friendly attitudes. Just an ok place for a quick meal.

We got a sampler platter that included some croquetas, plantain chips, tamal, fried pork chunks, and fried shrimp. Zero complaints about anything! So so good. My main was the Sopa de Res, which was a hearty soup. The serving size was gigantic. I actually took most of it back with me and it made two more meals. There were lots of root vegetables, slow cooked beef still on the bone, a side of rice and corn. My dad got a huge Cuban sandwich that he also ate on for days and my mom had empanadas, which I finished off for a third meal. We also went back for pie. That was ok - it was extremely rich and kind of pricy at $13 a slice. I also tried their Cortadito and took it to go. Great coffee as well. Highly, highly recommend eating here. The decor is fun and the wait staff super nice and patient with all our questions. They also have a separate ice cream shop across the parking lot.

My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich with French fries cooked to perfection in clean oil, and I had grilled chicken (pechuga à la Blanche) with beans, rice, and sweet plantain, along with cilantro sauce. The portion sizes are very generous and we each had leftovers for another whole meal. We will definitely be back! I also appreciated that the suggested tip amount started at 15%. We left more, but too many restaurants have the suggested tip amounts much too high. Do look at the menu item pricing, as some dishes were $75+. It may have been due to portion size as well as ingredients.

Everyone in our group loved what they ordered. The food was delicious, the sizes were generous and the prices were great. It was around 9:30-10pm when we arrived and the place was still busy. It was fancier than I expected with a bit of a sports bar twist. The menus were on iPads. Our server was friendly and helped a couple people with their orders. I hadn't had black beans and rice in a while so I ordered it as my side along with the plantains and couldn't have made a better choice. I had a Cuban sandwich and my husband had a Cuban style burger. We ate everything on our plate. Yum! It was late night done right. The reviews had me uncertain but I would definitely eat here again.

These are the best frituras of bacalao I have ever tried and the sauce compliments it so well! We paired this appetizer with the mojito flight and they were absolutely delicious. You get 4 options, passion fruit, lychee, guava & coconut. Afterwards we ordered the vaca frita with moros & tostones. You can order them extra crispy which I recommend. My fiancé ordered the Chicken cordon Bleu which is apparently a staple here and it did not disappoint at all! Overall we had a great experience and the food was fantastic, you can't go wrong with Cuban food in south florida. The remodel of the restaurant was fantastic and you can't tell they put in a lot of effort making this establishment look really nice with a great ambiance. The items we ordered were a little bit more pricey than usual but we assumed that when we got iPads for menus! Gotta pay off the remodel somehow! This place was 10/10 with excellent service & will return to try other items!

After two days of driving through snow storms and heavy rain and spending a night sleeping in the truck at a Cracker Barrel just outside Chattanooga, TN, we finally made it to South Florida. We had just arrived to the area and it was a bit late. We were driving through Homestead, FL. We were hungry looking for something to eat. We saw an open food stand serving Venezuelan food. My wife being Venezuelan, and my favorite food being a Cachapa, we hooked a u-turn and headed back to the food stand. I ordered the Venezuelan hamburger (Burger La Tuyera) and my wife ordered the Barrilla (mixed BBQ). This was the first time I have had a Venezuelan hamburger. It was a huge hamburger (see the pics). It had sausage, an egg, cheese (queso de mano), corn... it was awesome. My wife loved her order. She had been saying she could not wait to get down to Miami to get some delicious arepas. The selection of meats in mixed BBQ tasted great and were cooked perfectly. The arepitas tasted awesome. The food here at this food stand was definitely worth doing a u-turn for. The couple running the food stand were very friendly and welcoming. We will be returning another day to try out their cachapas!!

I have to return and try their burgers or carne en vara!!! 100 recommended!
