Hazelfields has been a local garden centre for years but it seems to be more national now. It has…read morealways had everything that you would ever need for your garden. It has also always had a good cafe/restaurant on site that the local people have used to meet up with each other. Currently it has a cafe that sells dinks, cakes and snacks and it also has a restaurant that sells main meals and also has a carvery. The cafe may be difficult to find for new comers so you may have to ask. There is now also a small farm shop which sells local produce. There is plenty of free praking at the centre.

They are a little expensive but then I think all garden centres are really and you are paying for the browsing experience and the service which on this occassion is very good. I have twice had problems with things I have bought from them (outside of their control) and they have been very helpful and prompt in their willingness to help which makes a nice change from some garden centres I've visited and all done with a smile. In a nutshell - a bit expensive but worth the extra for the good customer service and good ambience.

Then when I saw my food the full breakfast was missing hash browns and mushrooms, they said they will get hash browns but said they don't have mushrooms but told me after we had our food right in front of us. The poached egg wasn't a poached egg(looked like it's just been thrown around) toast is pretty much warm bread. Scrambled eggs really watery. Gave you like 4beans. Tomato's are/tasted watery cheap. Bathrooms not nice at all. Just not a very nice location to eat at. Would not be coming back!

The service took an age for the bare minimum the lad serving couldn't care less and literally threw out drinks on the table, for the amount we payed for one meal, having a polite server would've been nice. For a simple ham sandwich was £8 that's crazy in my opinion and for four meals came up to around £50. The value of the food wasn't great with small selection and food coming out cold or without key parts of the meal missing and repeatedly getting the order wrong. I could've made the same meal for less then half then what that came up to. The general value of the garden center wasn't great either with majority of the selection was something I've seen ten times before or too expensive to even afford to to look at after that meal! Waste of a trip in my opinion.
