SO way back when I used to work in office we had food truck Tuesday's during the summers and that's where I first discovered their super delicious grilled cheese sandos and mac and cheese. Because I worked in Oakville/Burlington area though I thought I'd never really see them again after covid but then lo and behold I saw their name as one of the vendors and I legit cried! I literally ran over to the truck to get my favourite menu item called "two little piggies" which is the bacon and jalapeño grilled cheese sandwich with a side of the bacon and jalapeño mac and cheese One bite and I knew I was in my happy place lolol but to use more descriptive words I would say this sando is PACKED with flavour, you would think not because it's essentially just grilled cheese but these guys really took the concept of grilled cheese and levelled it UP! Even though it has jalapeños I feel like it's not too spicy because the creamy cheese, crunchy, salty bacon and toasted bread definitely balances it out! The mac and cheese has the exact same flavour with perfectly done macaroni and everything ties in together just perfect *chef's kiss* Thank you to the kind woman working at the truck who bought me a drink because she could see the love I had in my eyes for their food lolol sorry I don't remember her name now but it just made my day and she deserves a shoutout! I have gone to this truck quite a few times in the summer last year and all of my experiences have been great. The design of their food truck is pretty cool and very noticeable (especially with the bright blue). It's got a funky but clean look and a mascot that is playful but not too childish. Every time I catch a glimpse of a bright blue truck parked on the street curb my stomach grumbles with excitement knowing that it might be the large vehicle that carries delicious food that I desire. I'm always surprised that there is never a long lineup, especially since I've heard so many great things about their food. I have never had to wait long at this truck. The service is great, the staff members are always friendly & jovial. I've ordered the calamari pita & chicken gyro (on separate occasions!). They are both VERY LARGE in size and jam packed with savoury goodness so you definitely get your moneys worth...just try not to drop the fillings on the floor while you are eating it! I prefer the calamari pita to the chicken gyro but that is because I am a huge seafood lover. This pita consists of my two favourite appetizers all wrapped up in a deep fried present for my stomach and taste buds: calamari & french fries! (Yes, there are french fries in this wrap.) The calamari rings are breaded and fried to a crispy perfection. The calamari itself was not too chewy or rubbery however the size of the rings makes it awkward to eat it in a wrap. It's definitely a sit down meal not something you can chow down while walking back to your office. The sauce is not the traditional tzatziki sauce that I've had at some typical Mr Greek chain restaurants. It's not as tangy or overly garlicky but it's definitely sweeter. It is still very tasty and a good complement to the salty fried calamari and French fries. The pita itself is quite palatable. I find some flour pitas I've had give off a bitter after taste but this one did not and it appeared as though they were slightly seasoned with a reasonable amount of garlic butter. Note: This pita should be eaten right away; if you hold off the fries will get soggy and will not be as appetizing as a fresh wrap. The chicken gyros was pretty good too. It consisted of french fries, shredded BBQ chicken and some veggie fixings. The chicken was juicy and very well seasoned. The sauce and pita were similar to the calamari pita. A delicious meal but I prefer seafood any day. Overall, 4 stars. The food was delicious and the service was great. I would say the prices are on the same range as other "gourmet" food trucks in Toronto but the portion sizes are substantially larger than what other food trucks are dishing out. I would like to try other things on their menu such as their poutine however every time I have gone to this truck the menu has been very limited. Hope I have better luck this summer!
