I can't tell you how happy I am to finally have a convenient store in this small town of Philo!…read moreFinally I don't have to drive to Urbana or Savoy to get something from an actually store and not a gas station. That being said the staff are alright. They don't always pay attention to their customers. Most of the time they avoid customers. They'll see you walk in but won't pay you any mind. Many times I've been ready to check out I've had to go searching for someone to pay for my things. The staff also don't always where a uniform so sometimes I'm not sure if they are working here or not. Since it's fairly new not all the staff members are familiar with the layout. I've called to ask if they had certain item, because if I needed to run into town to go to Walmart I just wanted to go straight there and not make 2 stops, and the staff rudely will say "we should have it" and they tell me they have to go and hangup. I'm glad I don't always have to drive 20 minutes away to get simple things but the staff just need more customer service skills.

I was told this store was not going to do this. But they did. Now they are like every other Dollar Store. Cluttered and messy. Stocking shelves while customers try to shop. They are closed many hours. Why can't they stock the shelves then? I hate it when I can't walk down an isle with out dodging boxes, cheap displays, and racks of stockable products. I won't be able to take my husband here in his wheelchair either. He is very disappointed. There is no way that I can push him down an isle pack with crap! It was clean and debris free for a little while. Nice while it lasted. Oh well! Sucks now...

Yes I do recommend. The owner is in there every day and if you need something or have a problem…read moreyou can go to him and he will try to take care of it as best as he can. I like smaller individual business owners because they're willing to do more for you most of the time than these big corporations. I remember when I was a kid these little businesses all over America were so good to people. Today I hate these huge corporations and arbitration clauses which gives you absolutely no recourse whatsoever. Start supporting small individual Owned businesses in your town or city. America is turning into a oligarchy and a corporate nightmare!
