Everything was amazing here: the muffin, the yogurt, the coffee. Great variety of treats and baked items as well as sandwiches. Definitely recommend to come for a continental breakfast or a treat! read more

The hubs liked his capp and my brew was fine. BB sells, too, its own beans in what appears to be 500 gr increments, presumably roasted at their BB HQ in Oberbayern. I wouldn't go out of my way to grab a bevvie here (Necado is in the vicintiy), but, if I were just there and thirsting for a decent cuppa, then BB would hit the spot. Bonus: clean WC.

They have a large selection of loaves of bread, rolls, and pastries and cakes (including traditional Christmas Holiday cakes). Don't know enough to say whether they are the best bakery in Planegg, but they are open on Sunday and service is good and professional. And their Coca-Cola is good. Not familiar with bakeries in Germany but it looks like this is part of the Backerei Discount SB-Cafe chain.

The sausage is mildly seasoned with minced parsley and other spices. (Note: You remove the casing before eating and it's a little bit reminiscent of what you can use your imagination for because I won't get more explicit here.) The sausage is something that I assumed would be bland, but even without the Händlmaier's handmade mustard, it was a delicious bite. Mild, but delicious. The mustard was a surprise because it was sweet; I think it could've been best served with a hint of heat, but it was a nice experience because it was a novel one. The two Bavarian pretzels were tough. Service was fine. 3.4 stars.

The coffee was excellent, the pastries were delicious, but what really made this place special were the people. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. One of the staff members even took the time to recommend a few places we should visit around Munich, which made us feel like locals instead of tourists. To me, a great coffee shop is about more than just great coffee. It's about the people, the atmosphere, and how you feel when you walk in. Café la Maison checks every box. If you're in Munich, make this your first stop in the morning before heading out to explore the city.

The coffee was okay, and there was a cookie we tried that was decent but unremarkable. The chocolate croissant was outstanding, with both a chocolate dip on the outside and a chocolate filling. But what had us going back to pick up some gifts on our way home was the cookie assortment! He for some reason could not understand the word croissant and he asked me to repeat myself like 2x. He was also unhelpful when I asked where the nearest ATM was and he just waved his hand in some vague direction. At this point, I couldn't tell if he was racist or....?
