Trust me, I looked up trampolining --not because it's the latest trend in exercise, although it is-- but because I've wanted to get my bounce on for aaaaaages. The only other place in Leeds that I could find looks like it's basically for kids, which is a shame as they have the proper big trampolines. Anyway. This place? So much more than just bouncing. There is trampoline basket ball, trampoline jump in a foam pit, trampoline dodge ball... there's even a tight rope thing you can practice balance on. I love it! They've got a parkour thing in the works too, which is super exciting. Although, the guy didn't really seem to get me when I checked if there would be lessons and if those lessons would be cool for a not-teenager. Whatever I want to run up things. Staff all seem to be about 18. It does smell a little bit like boy and Lynx. But, forget that and just get your bounce on. My friend and I actually spent the first five minutes squealing and bouncing as high and/or as fast as we could until we both collapsed. How do kids DO IT?! Pro tip: warm up a bit. The air in there is super cold which makes your chest hurt if you go nuts like we did. One last question: what is it with alternative exercise places, lasers, and nineties dance music? I mean, weird. But I guess I like it too. DO IT. It's a tenner an hour. Don't go on weekends if you don't want to be surrounded by childs.

There are many things to do here, which would certainly be suitable for families, adventure seekers, cinema lovers and co, including Tenpin bowling, a Cineworld Cinema. There is also a gym and rock climbing area. For food and drink, you're also tempted by a wide array of brands including Nando's, Ask Italian and Pizza Express. There is also a Starbucks here, although it didn't look too welcoming. It felt so uncomfortable that they openly admitted they did not trust customers to have food items in the fridges, and kept them all in the back - I totally understand loss prevention but I've never seen any Starbucks locations do this other than this one. The car park is HUGE, it felt way too big, but I'm sure due to the varied things to do and eat here, it can get quite busy, especially in such a peak location, being right off the motorway it makes it easily accessible through all points of the country. PRO TIP: If you're going on a longer journey, make this a stop off to get a bite to eat or something to drink, you have a selection of brands and you're not paying the high prices of motorway service stations. There is a small selection of shops here too, but nothing too special, this isn't really a place you'd come to shop. There's a sporting goods store and a WHSmith Travel location as I could recall, that's pretty much it. 4* - I like this place, it's pretty cool and certainly a good spot for a family day out.

Add to that qualified fitness instructors who you can book for 1-2-1 sessions and get your fitness routine worked out so it's right just for you. They have various classes you can attend, from yoga to badminton to circuits. It's good stuff. I've never been fit but this place is slowly getting me going in the right direction - I hope there's no looking back!

It's a nice venue, clean, tidy and very pleasant to woke away the tensions of the day in. What's more they got a steam room. Result! My advice is to avoid anytime's when a gaggle of kids will be about. Easier said than done but they do offer lane swimming sessions, women only sessions and various options that mean you're more likely to get a good swim in rather than fight against a child induced tidal wave. Being forced indoors during miserable months and working with people who liked to tour various climbing walls around the M62 I came to the Leeds wall a couple of time before living here. The routes are pretty good and the bouldering wall has been improved recently.

Despite the gradually vanishing top ropes - or possibly because of, depending on your point of view - this is still the best Yorkshire indoor climbing venue outside Sheffield. Long may it prosper.

The main part of it is probably best suited to kids between about 3 and about 11, and there's a baby/toddler section that is for the under 4's. Having said that, my 2 year old Mini Bo loves adventuring in the main playframe with me when it's quiet and the bigger kids are at school, I don't really let him in the main part with bigger kids charging around! We come here quite regularly with the Mini MacDoos, Little Missus' school is just down the hill from here so most of the kids in her class seem to have their birthday parties here - in fact we had her 5th birthday party here earlier this year too. I was furious today as I was trying to deal with my autistic son's meltdown (which does include bad language and I am mortified by this but I try so hard to deal with it and not let it upset people and I do apologise where I can for it). I think this guy thought he was impressing a group of mums as he came over and directly at my son raised his voice and told him to stop swearing. Under no circumstances would you go up to a child in the middle of an autistic meltdow n and be confrontational with them, especially with a less than sensitive attitude. It takes me a lot to not only get my son out of the house but to actually have the courage to take him somewhere. I did complain to the manager and said that this man had no right to speak to my son directly like that and if there was an issue he should have spoken to me quietly about it and not confront either of us in the way he did. The manager was no help saying she couldn't believe her member of staff had done this and that she wasn't there and over he came again all obnoxious saying that he did have the right to speak to my son like that. Wonderful customer service - NOT. From either the manager or her staff. All he kept saying was "there were babies there"! As the group of other mums left it was all "bye and thank you for coming". You need better training and to be more inclusive! My son can no more stop his autism than I can stop the rain from falling.

Personally I think the place is aimed more for older kids rather than babies or tots and would suggest your child needs to be 3 years or over to get the most out it. There loads to do at fun city it has a bouncy castle, huge astro slides, a football pitch and much more. My son loves it here it great for burning all his energy up. There is tables and seating and food can bought here from the cafe. Its the usual kids menu burger and chips, nuggets and chips and so on. Large jugs of juice can be bought for a £1. There is plenty of free parking outside. I have found that this place is either really quite durning the week or packed out on weekends and school holidays. I've been at times and my son has been the only person in but then gone on weekends and struggled to find anywhere to sit.
