Sang was professional and knowledgeable in selecting areas of our location for us to pose in, offering many options/shots for a reasonable price. However, the only reasons I would rate 4/5 stars is that the original promised deadline to complete the photos in editing was not met (about a day extra before receipt) and some of the poses may have worked for other body types, but were not a clear fit for us. Some of the otherwise lovely photos of us as a couple look like one of us is a serial killer harvesting a victim. This is not true of all of the shots and we definitely have enough to work with, but in retrospect, it is something noteworthy that I would want to be more aware of in the moment. Overall, I would hire Sang again in another need that did not require a hard deadline, and maybe would request to review some of the poses that may not have felt as physically natural to us as a couple since 9 times out of 10 those were the ones that didn't present as well in print.

Unprofessional photographer- Allison Harris in La Porte, Texas…read more I have thought about this long and hard (months in the making- this review) I cannot let this go after Allison has bashed me two separate times on Facebook and even going as far as going LIVE. I am not the type to leave a review, but she has done me and my family completely wrong. Regardless of what she charged me. She should have taken the professional approach when she calls herself a "PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER" A little about Allison's work. I hired Allison to take pictures of my boyfriend's family. His ( my boyfriend's) sister had recently passed away and I wanted to capture some special pictures and crop his sister into the picture. The pictures were taken and she stated that her daughter accidentally deleted them. I was disappointed by that, only because it was such an inconvenience, and it was so hard to get everyone together. I didn't say anything to her, I told her I completely understood - after all it was an accident. His family had to go back out and do retake. She did not take nearly enough pictures like she had the first time. It was hot out, the middle of the summer. So, of course a man wearing a long sleeve will sweat out in Texas weather. She had to fix the picture that Adrian ( my boyfriend) was sweating in. Allison told me she had to send the picture to New York to have it worked on. I always wondered why New York?! There a millions of companies in Texas that can do that for her local. When Allison took the first set of pictures she told me herself that I could have them printed anywhere, to try Walmart. I left it at that. I had not had them printed them at that time, since I was still waiting on the picture of Adrian's sister to be corrected. ( the one Adrian was sweating in) So, a few weeks go by, I thought why not hire her to take pictures of my family. It had been over 30 years since we had taken pictures. She then tells me, that I can have the pictures printed with her at some ridiculous price. It was like $20 plus dollars a picture. But- why would I have them printed with her, since she told me with my boyfriends family that I could have them printed anywhere, including Walmart, right. I figured it's all the same pictures, I'll just have them printed online- well that didn't work. I tried at Walmart this time since she did tell me that. Well the pictures were so blurry. I couldn't make them out. She stated she sent the same pictures I had TRIED to have printed at Walmart. So- I said since yours came out good at Walmart send all the pictures to Walmart FOR ME, and I'll pick them up there and pay for them, but she didn't want to. Let me tell you this has been going on for days already, so I started to get upset. It would have been so much easier for her to send them for me. I was eager to hang the pictures in my house. Well everything fell through. She knew I was upset. She called me a liar, she thought I was lying about the quality of the picture ( why would I lie? What would I gain from that?) She was on Facebook two separate times and is crying ( talk about unprofessional) she is crying and saying stuff about me. Never says my name- but I know she was speaking about me. So I confronted her live... She deletes the post.. Why??? She knew she was wrong!!! Her pictures are way over priced!!! I found someone who is way cheaper and pretty much comes out to equal for pictures and the setting fee. And wayyyy better quality and they can be printed online. For those of you who say she is good photographer... Pfff... I completely disagree with you. Just like she bashed me on Facebook.. She is a LIAR and she stole my money and would not refund me or send my pictures to Walmart like I asked her.. Since she suggest that place. Don't trust or use her. This photographer is dishonest and his ads are grossly misleading. The only possible conclusion is that the ads were undoubtedly planted. I told him I wanted a head photo for an ad. He positioned my head smack in front of the camera, so that my face was grotesque. He promised one touch up, but despite my contacting him, he did not do one. After I complained, he said I didnt describe what I wanted--I should have said a "linked in" head shot. He didnt even realize LinkedIn photos are unique and certainly not like the one used for an ad. He was rude, and so full of himself dialogue was torture. He is a charlatan more than a photographer, slippery, dishonest, a liar and doesn't listen. Pennnick is a skilled, classic, and extreme con man. Therefore I recommend you stay away from him, and ignore all those fake compliments. When I went back to reread all the false praise he solicited for his site and online, I noticed that on one of them, there was a classic head shot that was perfect and what I described and wanted. So without any doubt he understood what I asked for. The only explanation is that he deliberately produced hat I didn't want, so he could extract another equal fee. When I mentioned this he said I should make another appointment--for the full price, he emphasized, paid in advance, as was the first fee. His ads are unbelievable, and he is a liar. His main interest is in keeping a massive number of friends who assist him in perpetrating his fraud though fake ads. He emphasized to me that he has a great following, and from his demeanor and endless chatter about how great he is, I can only recommend that prospective customers stay far away from his so-called "services." In reviewing the hundreds of reviews, it becomes obvious this man needs intensive care upstairs. Again my strong belief is that there is such a disparity between what this man is and what is claims to be , together with the lies and rudeness, that there is pathology here. In carefully considering the events, the conclusion is that he a manipulator. I would gladly have paid the fee to stay away from him. There is not a single honest thing from his mouth, or email exchanges. The bottom line is that I did not receive any photo from him that could be used for any purpose. My son and his fiancé were in town for a short period and he was able to meet at our home and do our photo shoot all around our area with lights and his artistic eye. I would absolutely use him for all of my family photography or any photography. The picking of photos was easy and we were all able to pick digital links which made all of it so nice and stress free with five adults! He's able to edit and send the link right back. This review is long overdue, but here it goes: Simon is the sh--. Hire him if you want a talented…read morephotographer who is also a homie that makes you feel at ease on your wedding day. When our original photographer fell through due to illness, Simon was able to fill in as our backup photographer, along with his second photographer Michael (also amazing). This ended being such a blessing in disguise. Simon has very soft, romantic style to his photography, and leverages mostly film to give photos that natural softness. He was able to capture the most beautiful shots on our wedding day, and despite a very packed wedding day schedule, was able to squeeze in most of the photos we wanted. Not only that, Simon was just a total buddy and was thoughtful, communicative, and sweet throughout the entire planning process. One vivid memory that captures the awesomeness of Simon: we had a Polaroid photo station at the wedding and as the night progressed, our guests forgot about the photo station (they were busy dancing!), but not Simon -- he picked up the Polaroid camera and ended up snapping photos for us while we danced the night away, and stayed way past his contracted time. We ended up getting Polaroids photos, on top of the regular photos that Simon took, that captured the ratchetness of the night which ended up being one of our most treasured memories... Today, we have a whole Polaroid album to be able to look back on and laugh at. Hire Simon! You won't regret it.
