Now I am able to do some repairs by myself. Kirch Appliance is my Go To for appliance repair & replacement. I read Kirch's reply now, which was 10 months after my original review. How they knew why Samsung cancelled the call that much later is...suspicious. And more importantly, if they didn't cancel the call, then why did they never call me back? I called multiple times and Samsung didn't cancel it until well over a week after my return calls. My experience mirrors that of others. The worst part is, I required warranty service in a new home and the only contracted vendor locally is Kirch, who then refused to work on my new home's equipment, causing the manufacturer to then authorize a full replacement. This was actually great for me, as ridiculous as their behavior is. Now, if I ever need warranty service and they're the provider...I get new equipment. read more

I actually get excited when it's time to replace an appliance because I know it's going to be a hassle free experience. I've gotten washers dryers, one combo unit and next up, a refrigerator! When they came to 'fix' for the third of fourth time, they eventually conceded it was dead and replaced it with one of 'equal value' As a first time homeowner, we did buy a lower end budget dryer without any smart features. But, we went to a 'trusted' appliance company for the purchase and servicing all the way through. This isn't a Craigslist dryer. When THAT replacement dryer went out (within a year of purchase), they came to replace the heating unit and we paid out of pocket--but only after shelling out for two total visits, as the first one they blamed the electricity and said to get an electrician. We paid the electrician to confirm nothing is wrong with the outlets before Kirsch came back again to actually fix the dryer. 5-6 months later, it goes out AGAIN. We call. The technician comes out and says that the dryer is so old that he doesn't recommend replacing parts/working on it anymore as it would be a waste of money. I think it's important to call out that the technician said this. About a dryer that they sold us two years ago. Probably a discarded/older dryer that they were paid to haul away from a richer home in the first place. So after a 90 second visit, he says he'll come upstairs to have me pay the $120 technician fee for coming on site. I said this seemed unfair if he didn't do any work, and he was 'diagnosing' on an appliance sold to us recently. When I spoke to someone on the phone later, he basically suggested it was our fault for choosing an older dryer (from them! They chose this dryer and placed it in our home!) After a conversation where I said I didn't think this bill was fair, which I had said in the upfront when the technician was scheduled (because it was related to the same problem they fixed before, we've never had a working dryer for more than 6 months at a time), I was sent a bill today that says "Client declined service because they didn't want to put more money into it." This is a complete lie, I would have been happy to pay for a fix, the technician recommended against work. Overall, we were completely screwed over for hundreds of dollars over 3 years and would recommend going out of your way to avoid this company. read more

This is my second attempt to do business with Kirch appliance. The first time I had left my microwave there for replacement of a bulb and they didn't get around to it for a few months. This was just before their move so I gave them a break, they were moving. Today I had a dryer delivered to my home. I guess it is my fault I did not have them show me how to operate it at the store. Now after the install, the two installers did not start it, left and I had to call them to see if they would fix it. They said they'd have to get back to me after they got back to the shop. I still have no resolution to this issue and I am upset. I cannot recommend Kirch apliance as they have failed me twice. I am just hoping for a equitable resolution to their poor service. read more

We just bought a used fridge from their shop. Their delivery was quick and affordable. The only thing to work on would be for the delivery guys to be a bit more careful when they are moving stuff in as they did scratch my door and nearly gouged my wall. But it was a tough corner so I'm not horrified. The one guy did seem annoyed that I required them both to wear a mask but he did put it on. So all in all it was a smooth delivery. About two months later the fridge broke and was not cooling nor was the door staying closed. Initially I was like oh great I got a lemon and now I'm screwed. But it was covered under the 90 day warranty and they promptly sent a tech out. He was super friendly and explained the problem and fixed it and there was no charge. So I would utilize them again. I would put zero star if I could! Our brand new Bosch dishwasher stopped working. Called in Bosch support and unfortunately chose this repair service to come in and check. First diagnosis shared motherboard replacement. Wow, brand new appliance and motherboard is broken? Oh well, they are the expert! Sure! They ordered the replacement part from Bosch and replaced, still did not work. Next, they said, oh whatever so and so needs to be replaced. Waited another week for the next guy to show up. Next guy came for 5 mins and said, it seems the replacement part ordered came but when box was opened, part is broken! Following week, came back with a new part, surprise! still did not fixed. After 1-2 more parts, dishwasher still did not get fixed. Finally, advised us to get an electrician. Electrician came and said, it was a wiring issue!!! After 6 weeks of replacement parts and it was an installation issue which obviously Bosch support said is not covered by our warranty. We had to pay $320! My first question: why this was not checked by this repair guys first!?? Saved us all the frustration and wasted time waiting for this to be fixed?! Electrician fixed within 30mins! I manage a 90-unit property here in town, and have used Kirsch Appliance for multiple repairs. They send competent repairmen who call ahead, arrive on time, and in most cases will have the part on their truck. There ARE supply chain issues, and some parts ARE HARD TO FIND for these machines. My experience with everyone at the company has always been cordial. I think complainers will complain, and happy people seldom leave reviews. COVID?? Masks??? These people are nuts, and beyond help. Repeat customer for due to positive experience with my first service call to fix my refrigerator which was leaking water. Tech came with a towel to walk on as it snowed the prior evening so not to track in snow. Reset a newly installed dishwasher so that it receded into the cabinetry better than I could fit it into the space, as well as cleaned, then showed me how to clean dog hair from my washing machine. Just got a bill for $86.51 for two trips to repair a large washer we have. Multiple parts were damaged as well as the tank. They made two trips to see if they could make the repairs. They recovered and restocked the parts we ordered and billed us that minimal amount for their time when they could have billed far, far more. The bill barely covers the mileage! I consider them honest and capable. They have been maintaining appliances in my rental units for a decade and will tackle things, like commercial washers, that no one else will take on. read more

We have had good experiences with Kirch as a designated repair service for a Frigidaire dishwasher. They even went the extra mile of noting a prior repair under the previous owner, showing that Frigidaire had previously serviced the same part. Nice catch! read more

I have used Kirch for a number of years. Sometimes ok, sometimes not. The woman at the counter was not particularly helpful. I bought a dryer. 35 days after I purchased it it needed to be repaired wasn't covered as warranty is only 30 days. A month later I had to fix it again and another month and a half it had to be fixed again. I took a wall air conditioner INTO the shop. They charge me $100 and said the coil had a hole and it couldn't be repaired. $100 if they had to come to my house, but $100 when I took it to them???? They used to be better. read more

A bad experience with Kirsch's warranty and customer service resulted in me choosing to hire a different appliance repair shop for an issue with my oven that Kirsch couldn't fix after months of visits to my home. The new repair shop came out and fixed the issue in a fraction of the time it took Kirsch, and told me that Kirsch sent out an email to all area appliance repair companies urging them to not work with us. Hired Kirch to replace a broken ice maker. They put in a replacement that didn't work right. They were told within a day that their replacement didn't work correctly. They refused to replace it (while still under warranty) unless I paid an additional service charge. read more

DO NOT DEAL WITH KIRCH APPLIANCE IF YOU DO NOT BELIVE COVID 19 IS A HOAX! I just had two men deliver a washing machine and attempt to enter my home without masks. I was shocked, and immediately asked them if they had masks. My question was met with an eye roll- one went back to the truck to get one, while the other stated that he didn't have a mask. I provided him a mask, however, I later noticed it was pulled down below his nose and mouth while he was in my home. The other guy kept his mask below the level of his nose the entire time. Beyond that, they carelessly ripped off a side piece of trim from my counter as they were bringing the washing machine through my kitchen and down to my basement- then acted like nothing happened and made no mention of it. I heard the one guy say, "Oh Sh*t." The other guy replied, "What?" . Guy number one says, "Just go." I immediately went and looked and see the piece of trim just hanging there. I understand that mistakes happen in situations like this, but to try to play it off like nothing happened instead of apologizing was also off putting. Overall this was a terrible experience and I hope this review serves as a warning to anyone who holds their health and safety as a priority. Of note, this is my first negative review. For anything. Wow! Just wow...My elderly mother ordered a part. The part arrived and she was advised it was in, so she could come pick it up. The part was picked up and taken home. It ended up being the wrong part, but was obviously not checked before it was sent out the door. My mother called to report it being the wrong part and was told that she would would have to come all the way back into the shop for the exchange. Not to mention, he didn't want to return to measure for the correct piece because he didn't want to make an extra trip!!!! This very much upset her. I called the shop to find out if they would be willing to drop off the part, since it was their mess-up and they do make house-calls. Ted told me that wrong parts are commonly sent to them and that it wasn't their fault. Oh but it is Ted. It is because you called to say the part was in before checking to see if the it was the correct part. If it happens that commonly, don't you think you would check ahead of time? You are the responsible party. This is how customer service works. He then went on to say that there would be an $89 delivery fee. I asked if someone could just drop off the new piece and pick up the old on their way to another job, since it wasn't a piece that was needed immediately. He wouldn't even help her. I'm angry, disappointed and saddened. I expect this out of a corporate company, which is why i decided to support a small business. Boy was mistaken. I will be making a visit to them when I return to WI. This is not a threat, I just don't want any other in-need person to be taken advantage of, this is not the time. This is the time to help . By far the worst costumer service I have ever received. The ownership was extremely aggressive and childish when speaking to me about the service. There was a miscommunication between us about the warranty but now they are verbally attacking me, on a personal level, when were trying to work this out. Very pleased with the service from this small local business. We will definitely be calling them again if we have any other issues with our appliances. We had a fridge with a faulty automatic defrost mechanism.
