Piedmont bank recently merged with westside bank, and I went to this location to make a deposit since they are closer to my home. I wasn't greeted when, I first walked in, and as I was filling out my deposit slip. The banker Kelly McMillan asked me " what am I doing on this side of town"? I had already told her that I was with westside bank, and she never once welcomed me, thanked me for coming to their branch location, or nothing. She looked at me as if I shouldn't have even been banking there and her question was intrusive ass hell. For a employee to ask why a customer is even at their branch clearly show a lack of professionalism, and discrimination especially being that I'm African American. Then the employee Lauren Poole jumped in the conversation stating she felt offended behind me stating that, I felt like they where discriminating towards me. I was the only African American in the bank, and they both where looking down upon me as if, I didn't belong there. Even after, I asked for a manager they where still arguing with me regarding me complaining about their behavior. The manager kept telling them to stop arguing with me, and they both continued to argue. Just unprofessional, ill mannered, and disrespectful. They have horrible customer, and obviously take pride in mistreating customers. I've never had to experience anything like this at a bank, and I will never patronize this location again.

Recently, I went in to get a document notarized. I learned that members can get 12 items notarized in a year for free, and then pay a few dollars per item after that. The notary process was extremely quick. However, the representative I was working with made some suggestions about my account, and I decided to make a few changes while there based on her advice. I appreciate that the furniture in their waiting room is extremely comfortable, and that they provide a water station and a restroom in case anyone needs either.

Candria for 2 years now has been bitter and angry over my first review and that is sad. She is a very sad woman and I would NEVER recommend anyone ever doing business with this person. The reason for this review is because I received a CP2000 letter from the IRS and it said I owe them $1,786 and each day it isn't paid in full they will charge interest. I have ALWAYS filed my taxes on time and have never owed the IRS until I made the mistake of allowing Candria Webb to do my 2020 taxes. Now the mistake I made was I did not tell her about not having taxes taken out of my unemployment before she filed my first 2020 taxes. I wasn't going to file on it because I was scared of getting in trouble. I ended up telling her about the unemployment and asking if we could file it as well. She said yes and said she would submit an amendment since she had filed my regular taxes already. I take FULL responsibility for that but I was ignorant to unemployment as I have never had to file for it until 2020. I have ALL of our email correspondents from that time and I kept them so if any issues were to arise in the future I could go back to those conversations and papers. On 03/24/2021 at 11:39a Candria said "ok this was supposed to be added to your taxes that were already submitted. I will amend and add it". Clearly that was a lie because I received the letter saying I owed over $1700 and Candria told me back then if I did owe I would only owe $84 after it was reduced to $13235. When I first contacted Candria on June 2nd 2022 she acted like she knew nothing about the amendment. Red flag #1 and the first thing she said was the unemployment was left off my return, that she looked in my file and did not have the unemployment in my folder, there was nothing that needed to be done or worry about and that I need to go ahead and pay it or set up a payment plan. She also said to call them and go from there knowing dang well you can't get through to the IRS which she confirmed later in the conversation. Well that didn't sound right and I sent her the conversations of her telling me she amended it. Her story changed to "Ok and if we did an amendment then, I'm not surprised if the IRS just didn't process the amendment". She basically blamed the IRS and said they were behind. BS! If you sent the amendment it would have been processed like they did my return. I kept asking her to check and what are her policies on making this right. Got no answer on the second part, plus she claimed to be on vacation in NC and then her husband took her out of the country, and when I kept asking her to give me paper proof the she filed the amendment and that it was accepted she said she didn't have proof and that the system will just tell her it was either accepted or not. What legit business woman doesn't keep a paper trail of her work? A simple screen shot photo with her cell phone could have been used as proof but I digress. She later said she filed the amendment twice. Long story short I do not believe Ms. Webb initially amended my return as she lied and told me especially since she couldn't provide the proof. She didn't even know about the amendment when I first contacted her lol. At this point and I have let Ms. Webb know this but I will be taking her to small claims court and suing her for what the IRS says I owe and more. Especially since this person told me to go kill myself by playing in traffic. What mature business woman speaks to clients like that? I will upload proof of what she. I have NEVER encountered someone like Candria Webb and hope to never. I truly believe Candria did this on purpose because she was bitter and angry about my previous negative review on here. She has never and will never take responsibility for her actions, lack of communication, and horrible customer service. In fact she tried to blame me and say "I think it's best that you find someone else to file your taxes going forward. This is our second time having some sort of issue last time you wrote a long negative review but yet you came back after you denied writing the review under the name Mrs. Grinch and yet here we are again". Lol first off after 2020 I fired her, didn't use her, nor did I plan on it ever again. She had no problem taking my money after the negative review and doing business with me again lol. BEWARE of this "business" and Candria. Make sure you keep ALL correspondence and paperwork from her if you hire her.

The customer service was excellent. The relationship banker, Li'yonna Battle, deserves a full 5 out of 5 rating. She went above and beyond -- clearly explaining every detail, taking time to understand my business, and making sure everything was accurate and in order. Her attention to detail truly stood out. While she was helping me, I also noticed her giving great service to others. I loved seeing how the team supported one another and genuinely seemed to enjoy working together. The atmosphere was busy but peaceful at the same time. Although it took about an hour to open the account (which is standard), it didn't feel like an hour because of the quality of service.
