A whole $15. I have been a patron for 10 plus years and have always paid any occasional late fees in a timely manner. Apparently I should have had the ambulance stop on my way to the E.R. to drop off borrowed materials. I'm glad I didn't die. The library would be suing my estate by now. Not to worry though! I paid off the entire $15 the Cooperstown library desperately needed. I'm glad they won't have to close down because of my late fees. They can also rest assured since I turned in my library card since I'm obviously not trustworthy to borrow books any longer!

The library on Chestnut St has no comfy places to sit. They allow only 1/2 hour on the computer,…read moreeven though no one is ever there. Behind the desk is a total mess where the librarians spend their day. When I went up to the front desk, I was greeted with a quizzical, confused stare. I didn't have much to say, but I felt like I was speaking to someone who had been yelled at in the past. Anyway, the building is quite beautiful and there are free books available.

All profits go to the library! they also sell puzzles and other games. this shop is phenomenal... and the best part about it is that once you finish your book, you can donate it back.

It's so comfortable, cozy and lovely. They have a nice display of artwork and artifacts in the museum portion. It's always changing so you never know what you might see. They have a great selection of books. The staff is very friendly and kind. It's worth a visit if you are in the area. If you live in Cazenovia, you sure are lucky to have such a great library in your midst.

OK, technically we didn't get inside the library. In fact, we didn't even notice the library until…read morewe were leaving Little Falls. But there was no other way to review this annual event. And we did park between the library and where Little Falls was holding their 4th annual Cheese Festival all along E. Main St. For 2018 the Cheese Festival was held on Saturday, July 14. You might want to put a reminder on your calendar in early July of any future year to get the date for that year's festival. The festival was 5 blocks long with over 60 tents set up by vendors. In addition to various craft cheeses there were condiments, baked goods, dairy products, wines, and some talented musical performers spread out over the blocks. Little Falls was once known as the Cheese Capital of the entire USA. The Little Falls Historical Society has outlined in the festival brochure a 3 stage Cheese History Trail that you can walk as you learn all about Little Falls' contribution to cheese making and its influence on the cost of cheese even as far away as Europe. I suggest you bring along a cooler with an ice pack or two to transport your purchases. The purchase opportunities here are delicious. Tip: Keep your brochure so you can remember to always look up these vendors to visit again as you travel throughout the Hudson/Mohawk valley, the Catskills, the Adirondacks, the Finger Lakes and the Southern Tier.

It is a fairly lovely place, and staffed by fine clerks: Annie, Kerry, and Vyrna. Annie has been there for decades and knows a lot of local history.
