We almost didn't play Kingussie. It was pouring rain when we arrived. I don't think we ever considered not playing, but certainly our decision to play was somewhat questionable as there might have been one other group on the course. Even the guy in the clubhouse had a bit of hostility in his voice when he saw us come in after the round, asking a thick, deep voice "Enjoyed it, did ya?" -- actually, I did... Kingussie is an upland course, with a par 68 from the white tees. There are some interesting holes, but overall the course doesn't quite compare with the quality and experience of some of the other courses we played in Scotland. That said, it was a very good value and a lot of fun -- and would certainly play it again if given the opportunity. read more
