I can't rave enough about this barber shop…read more Having gotten used to a particular level of haircut from when I lived in a larger city, it was a tough search coming to Grand Rapids. I would put Avenue on par with, if not higher than, most cuts that I used to get in Boston. My haircuts take a little longer because of my type of hair, but it's well worth the extra time. Chris and Josh work with precision and use foil shavers to give the best fades in the area. I've had friends and random people compliment me and ask where I go for my haircuts. Prices are very fair and wait time isn't too bad if you go off peak hours. They also take online reservations for Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I recommend looking at least 2 weeks in advance if you want to schedule it. They also hired in a 3rd guy, so I'm assuming that will help with wait times as well. If you care about your hair and love precision cuts, definitely give Avenue a try.

Skip must cut a lot of fades bc it literally only took 10 mins and it was pretty good. Lineups are included but you have to say it when you tell him how you want your cut. I get a lot of haircuts because to me the experience is therapeutic. I wish he cut slower, but that's just me being selfish. Also I got a bald fade and I didn't get any redness or bumps which means Skip has magic hands!!
