A wide variety of real-ales on offer to purchase and somewhere that tends to be busy generally in the day time more than the night time with cast off husbands banished from shopping trips who manage to sneak in for a swift pint! Was pleasantly surprised because even though the place has had a makeover, the floor in particular, it is still essentially, the Addy! Quite a few of the regulars albeit slightly older,lol, were there and more arrived as the pub got busier and busier over the evening, was great to see them all again. There were a great choice of drinks,real ales, ciders, lagers, bottles etc., the prices, quite reasonable too. Entertainment was on, profuse apologies but I can't remember the name of the band, that's the fault of one of the pints of Stella I imbibed! I did have several dances though, which I thoroughly enjoyed. All in all, I had a great time, ex-hub didn't moan that much, so I assume he must have enjoyed himself. I ask...Well sir...comes the reply..."Premium cachaça (Brazilian sugar cane spirit), fresh lime and sugar, muddled, shaken, and poured elegantly straight from the can"... sounds refreshing.... drink from Brazilian countryside I'm told...that's original!!! Sold!! Now I knew this was a cocktail bar but I was pleasantly surprised by grub on offer. The menu was actually pretty decent. If I were you I'd definitely give the spiced corn fed chicken a whirl indeed, it was delightful!!! Served with crushed potatoes, chorizo and rosemary stuffing, roasted pepper dressing & basil crisps it was well prepared and cooked nicely indeed. At under £13 it was not bad price wise either for a main. The service was top notch, and I warmed to the aesthetics of the place. Well worth a visit I'd say!!!

This is quite a nice pub in Tranmere. They often have many of the local Wirral bands on down there…read moresuch as Insanity Beach. There is usually a quiz night once a week. Drinks are reasonably priced. Car parking is relatively limited, there are a few spaces next to the pub, so not ideal, especially if Tranmere are playing at home a lot of those roads need permits to park in. The pub is right on a main road on a bus route so ideal for those getting the bus here. Overall a friendly nice pub, not sure if they let kids in or not.

I have been here many times an have always enjoyed it each time. Even having a lowenbrau there is worth enjoying when you have bands such as the jalapeños, rock steady and trib Lizzie playing on Friday and Saturday nights. Worthy of my personal thumbs up, and worth every visit. Even the staff are courteous and friendly.

The pub itself is quite big, and has many rooms with plenty of seating. It kinda feels like your friend's grandparent's house with random chairs, and nook and crannies. The bathrooms are outside, and the sinks have freezing cold water. This probably isn't as much of a problem in the summer, but we were here in December, and it was absolutely freezing out and the thought of heading out to the loo was dreadful! Everyone was really friendly; it's a real locals only pub, but everyone was quite chatty and in good holiday spirits! It was a nice welcoming crowd. Best of all, there's a super friendly pub kitty!
