If you are in NC and looking for a 1 day CNA training class. Do not patronize this business, they…read morehave very bad business practices... Dr. Brenda Martin, CEO/Owner is interesting to deal with to say the least. Check out www.ripoffreport.com Please do not patronize this business, the owner is less than professional and down right dishonest, I paid for a seat in a class in August 2013 and needed to rescheduled and was denied, so I decided to stay in the class that I registered for and Brenda Martin, Owner/CEO was very rude and disrespectful. My concern is for others that may have the same issues and she will feel due to personal reasons to deny them and keep their monies or worse. See BBB.org Search Express CNA Training Concord NC and ripoffreport Please share will all you know about this issue. I can understand a non refund, non rescheduling policy (that was just put in place in Aug and not when I registered in May 2013. Brenda Martin PhD has lied to the BBB.org on a complaint and other sites that I have voiced my concern that the Non Rescheduling policy has always been there. I did a print screen and had to restore computer to factory default and lost files before that I copied and pasted the info from the site before she changed it to Non Rescheduling. If that is her policy fine but to deny me entry to a class that I registered for in August 3, 2013 and she the Owner registered me in it and to be told if I showed up she would have me arrested for trespassing and would not return my $100 deposit? How fair is that? It is great to be able to take advantage of a one day class that will afford you to work as a CNA to get your foot into the healthcare field and if you have a business that is honest that is the best when the business is not, that tells me they can do anything and get away with it with lies and untruths.

EVERY teen NEEDS this course! DO NOT SKIP THIS!!!!…read more I think anyone with a teen driver with access to this program is INSANE if you don't attend this class. It's a $99 sign up fee, which is returned to you if you sign up with a paper check (yes, you can mail it in). But honestly, the $99 donation to attend this is a steal and INFINITELY VALUABLE if you value your kiddo's life! We did the course 2 years ago for our older teen (pre-covid) & now just completed for the younger teen (post-covid). I wouldn't care if I had to wear a mask the whole day to do this class - I PROMISE you it's PRICELESS to give your teen driver some REAL experience and some good education about driving hazards. Driver training is just not the same as it used to be (and people drive larger cars and faster speeds than 20-30-40 years ago when we all learned!), and even with a year of permit-driving your kid won't get what they can at this course. Hazard/avoidance skills, ABS steering skills, SKID skills (yes, really skidding, like control out of a 360-spin), and drop-curb (tire off road in gravel) experience, curve control, even a simulated drunk-driving (affectionately called "drunk goggles") experience. There's probably even more in there that I forgot! Instructors are AWESOME and really give the full-experience to every kid. YOU DO NOT NEED A VEHICLE to do this - so even if you have to Uber to the program that's fine! An adult does need to attend with the teen, 30 hours on permit driving to attend (yes, they can go before full-license). Don't be put off by the ONE presentation by a Kia Dealer/Rep - Kia (in Charlotte anyway) sponsors and provides the vehicles for this program - it's why the cost is still $99 after years of the program running! Let Kia get their little 'schpeal' in & be patient, again this is abut preparing your kid for REAL driving scenarios that you will never be able to provide in a SAFE environment! Are there some wait times, yes on occasion - let's all be ADULTS here and understand things are sometimes beyond control and 'crap' happens. The program is SMOOTHLY RUN and you'll get all your info by email of what to do, when to go, number to call for issues, etc. (just READ the emails peeps!). Again - I promise you will not regret the skills your teen (and even YOU, you'll get to drive a little also!) will get from this experience. https://putonthebrakes.org

I didn't know what to expect from the folks at Open Water Adventures, to be honest. When you go…read moreinto a dive shop, you can get anywhere from seasoned expert to hobbyist trying to make a quick buck. Open Water Adventures in Charlotte is definitely the former. Joe, who I'm learning now is the owner, gave me his cell number so we could stay in contact about my upcoming trip to the Galapagos Islands--a destination he's visited six times, if memory serves. He wants to put me in touch with his contacts there for tours, lodging, the works. That's the kind of out-of-the-ordinary service I wouldn't have expected but received anyway. Honestly, everyone in the place was outstanding. I made my appointment and paid with Marcela, did paperwork with Meghan, and trained with Anthony (Li'l Momoa) for my diving refresher course. Things were a little harried at first, but I didn't think I'd be able to finish this course in a couple of hours, so I cleared my schedule. As usual, it's a question of expectation vs. delivery. I think the quality of equipment, expertise, and instruction are well worth the time spent making sure ducks were in a row and all was prepared exactly right. Safety comes first--diving is a fun time, but it carries its share of dangers. Learning how to avoid them isn't something I'd prefer rushed. I want to know it all very well before I go giant striding into open water. Diving isn't a cheap pastime. But it's one that will be incredibly rewarding if preparation and equipment are in order. And I feel as though Open Water Adventures knows that and puts it into practice.

I'd return here for any dive needs in a heartbeat. Clean shop, heated pool, all staff was professional & friendly!
