The museum does an incredible job showcasing Selena's life and legacy. It's packed with authentic, collectible pieces--her iconic outfits, personal items, and career achievements are all beautifully displayed. You even get to see the actual recording studio where she worked, along with her piano, drums, and her stunning Porsche Targa on display. Seeing all of this in person was truly special and meaningful. This visit definitely felt like paying my respects to a legend. The gift shop is great as well--I picked up a vinyl before leaving, and they also have plenty of shirts and memorabilia. The staff was excellent, the museum itself is clean and well maintained, and the overall ambiance and service were fantastic. I absolutely loved my visit and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area--especially fans of Selena.

We stayed for about 3 hours and watched the Dolphin and shark shows. There's a lot of things to see and love all the interactions! It was so cool to be up close and personal with the flamingos! They had people that were well informed about the animals and even told stories about most of the animals and where they came from (some were rescued and also cared for by the vets). The place was very well kept and organized. It was easy to figure out where you were at and even where to find animals. They had different sections where you can take your kids to play outside(a mini water park area and a park for them to run around). I also did like how they had different times when they do shows to talk about the animals and some you could even pet like the sting rays. Their fish tanks were really cool to me, especially the one where you can walk through and see even sharks/fish swim above you. The area with the different birds were cool too and loved how they did each section different themes to fit where the animals are from. My family really enjoyed their time here and happy to have stopped by here. It really only took a few hours to see everything and was worth the stop. Definitely good place to visit if you have kids.

The orchid greenhouse had a ton of plants, with only a few in bloom. Favorite part was the butterfly enclosure as there were quite a few out and about. Rose garden didn't have much in bloom either. I would like to return in an off season to see how things do without the 100 summer temps.

We saw four parrots and the attendant was able to entice them to speak and that was one of the most entertaining parts of our visit. I believe the most entertaining part of the day were the beautiful flowers that had bloomed and there were a lot of them. We entered the enclosed butterfly area and that was entertaining although there were not that many butterflies. We took a lot of pictures throughout the tour. We walked the grounds for a a while and left. I guess I expected a greater variety of plants and presentation. Other cities in our country with Botanical Gardens have been a lot nicer. Also I hope the South Texas Botanical Garden is improved and more funds are directed in that venture.

The recommendation was to tour all the public levels and then go so the movie (which is no additional charge) at the end. Be ready to climb some steps and do a lot of walking. The have a single elevator however that only goes one floor. It's not really an accesable museum. We spent many hours on our selfguided tour. It took almost an entire day. I'm sure, if you don't have the time, you can speed it up but we were not in a hurry.

By far the best tourist attraction in Corpus Christi is the USS Lexington. If you're a museum lover…read moreor a military history fan, this place is an absolute must-visit. Plan to spend about 3-4 hours if you want to explore every level, read the exhibits, and fully experience everything the ship has to offer. Admission was only $20, and the value is incredible. You can climb all the way to the top of the ship, and they even have a "walk the plank" experience where you step off the side of the ship (safely, of course). There are tons of interactive and 3D-style exhibits throughout, making it fun for families, kids, and history buffs alike. I genuinely enjoyed myself and would definitely go back. If you're in Corpus Christi, this is the highlight of the city.

The only thing that bothered me was the etiquette of some of the other attendees. Some of them were really loud and commenting loudly on each piece which kind of took away from my experience. They also happened to have a dance performance from the Texas AMA inside which is cool, power to all arts including dance but it was distracting and smack dab in the middle of some interesting pieces I would've liked more time with before my flight. Elizabeth's was a cool restaurant. The blood orange ahi tuna was really delicious like spot on. My martini was okay. They didn't have olives and I've had better being from vegas. Prices are fair though and the staff is decently nice. Lots of crying babies in there when I went though which kind of killed the artsy vibe I was hoping for but I guess that happens in a touristy part of town in Texas. Overall it was nice I'm just a sensitive person and enjoy quiet to ponder art and eat my meal so consider that if you're traveling solo and are similar I suppose. Gift shop was cool and I had a nice chat with the lovely lady in there. And the security guard was cool, he let me store my luggage with him. It's a quick walk over from the convention center so if you want a little art time and a quick drink and meal that's super convenient, it's kind of a no brainer.
