The owner, Evan, is very kind and personable and it's clear he wants to encourage a positive gaming community in Lynchburg. He's also a great businessman, which is essential because when a business does good, I really want them to flourish and stick around. All the employees here are likewise kind, funny, and helpful- I've never felt ignored or treated poorly at all. The space has restrooms, cheap sodas and Gatorade, gorgeous dice sets, card packs, TTRPG books, and more. I've now played a few Lorcana casual league and tournament events here, and Dragon Fire Games has definitely succeeded in fostering a safe and inclusive space for gamers (especially us older-aged gamers and newbies). I wish I was able to hang out here more often (and that the games didn't go so very late, for me), but I'm very grateful to have found this place and for Evan's continued management of the space. Found someone else to look at it and repaired it and could have been that ice maker in freezer was turned on the whole time. Was not hitch up to provide ice. That was clicking noise I kept hearing and may? have been why compressor died.? Also Whirlpool was of no help except to sell me an extended warranty thru another company!
